Hello and welcome to oc_stillness. This group was created by 
inklacedfeather after taking a look at the original stillness community, 
buffy_stillness, created by quebelly.
This is a group icon contest for non-animated icons. Each week participants will vote on 3 blank icons. That winning icon blank will be used for the contest. Then the entries to the contest will be posted as a group and people will be able to vote on their favorites. Out of the entries three winners will be chosen. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. These winners will be posted and then will receive banners to place on their sites or LJ.
I'm Kacie, and I'll be running the show around here. Feel free to ask any and all questions you might have.
Rules
1. Obviously, no animated icons allowed. This is a non-animated icon community, duh!
2. Only new icons, please! And don't post your icons in your own journals and/or use them before the week's contest is over.
3. Each participant can enter up to two icons for each contest.
4. Don't vote for yourself. It's silly.
5. Make sure your icon is LJ-standard. 100x100 pixels/40 KB in size is the maximum.
6. Sharing is key -- people would be sad if your icon was the winner and then they didn't get to use it!
Submission rules
1. Icons will be submitted via comments on a screened comment post. I'll be the only person that can see icons before the voting entry goes up.
2. Make sure you host your icon on your own server, or a free server that allows direct links, like photobucket.
3. When submitting your icon, please have an IMG tag and the URL of the icon.

4. Submissions will generally open on Monday and close Thursday. I'm not saying it's gonna be that way all the time, but I will try my best.
Voting
1. The voting post with all the icons will go up some time on Friday and close Sunday.
2. On Monday I'll post the winners and the winning blank and then we'll start all over because (sing it with me!) this is the song that never ends...
4. You don't need to be a member of the community to vote, but no annonymous votes will be counted.
5. Vote (in order) for your three favorite icons and your one favorite blank. There will also be a mod's choice.
