Salut!

The Festival Of Cannes is getting nearer every day, and there are reports on several websites. Concerning the programme they say that 'Public Enemy #1', first part of the Mesrine-movies, will be shown without competition. That are good news!

I am very curious what will be said of the movie. And, of course, I'm very keen for pictures - Vincent and Monica on the red carpet! As we were disappointed in that way last year (for obvious reasons, I think), I really hope for lots of Vinz at CANNES 2008.

Salut!

Okay, in principle I like the fact of Vincent doing that movie 'A Deriva' (or 'Adrift', to use the international title) in Brasil and in Portugese language. The story sounds interesting and the movie will have lots of Vincent, I think (and hope).

But the bad thing is - I don't understand Portugese. Not even Spanish. And there are several articles concerning that movie and Vincent, all from Brasilian papers. I don't understand a word. I tried Babel Fish, but that's not satisfying at all. *hmpf*

And there is some rumour about our Vincent and a Paparazzi. Or kind of. But what is that gossip really saying?

Ideas, anyone?

Hello everyone, I just joined this community and I would like to share some scans i posted at my journal. I have to confess i've become a fan of Vincent Cassel only after seeing him in Eastern Promises. I think he did really an amazing job with Kirill's character and I was disappointed he didn’t get any awards nominations. Anyway...here is few scans from the Italian edition of Vanity Fair 08/2006.

Hey!

I just found the following link on another board:

http://cultureetloisirs.france2.fr/cinema/critiques/36015797-fr.php

It is an interview in French language, with David Cronenberg and Vincent Cassel. Unfortenately it isn't dated, but I guess it was held about September last year.

I've just created a community for Brotherhood of the Wolf. It's a general fan-related community open to fanwork, graphics and discussion/speculation posts.

Salut!

The magazine GQ was newly launched in France, with its first issue in March 2008. And, hey, guess who is on the cover? Yes, Vincent:

I don't like that moustache, as I don't like them in general, but that doesn't matter. I'm quite sure it is for just another movie role, so what...

Salut!

I just found some news on the release of the Jean-Jaques Annaud - movie 'Sa Majesté Minor' (starring Vincent Cassel as Satyre):

The DVD will be released on the 22. April 2008. Now, let's hope for some english subtitles... Otherwise, I will have a silent movie, as I don't understand French...

After spending New Year's Eve in Rio de Janeiro, Vincent and Monica also attended the carnival parade on the 5th of February.

I don't like that shaved head very much, I must admit - but the photos are lovely nonetheless. It's always nice to see them together, and they seem to be very happy and in love in those pics.

(Attention, vague Pacte Des Loups spoilers ahead!)

Jean-François is a pitiable character, both as a character-as-in-person and as a character-as-in-creation-in-a-work-of-fiction. The reasons for the former are easily seen and explained: he is one-armed and he is disturbed (putting it vaguely and nicely). The reasons for the latter are a large part of why I didn't enjoy the film as a whole: he is such a powderful creep from the moment he first enters stage that you almost ache for him to turn out a proper good guy, and yet there are certain scenes early on that scream "REMEMBER THIS OH-SO-TRIVIAL DETAIL, IT SHALL BECOME AN IMPORTANT PLOT POINT THAT SOLVES ALL (AS FAR AS SOLVABLE)" so loudly that such hopes should never have arisen. He never has a chance to lure the audience into liking him because you know he's no good, but he doesn't fully emerge as evil until the very end, and even then is more pathetic than alluringly dangerous - then in the final cartoon fight he is far from all of that and little more than a bootkick on a string, a fake end-of-level boss. But today, we will not look at that sad twisted creature; let us instead turn to the delightful sight of Vincent jolly and two-armed in eighteenth century wardrobe with long, brushed-dry hair. There is more of him in the "Les Entrailles De La Bête" documentary than of half the other members of cast, which is altogether fine with me.

Hi!

A few days ago I stumbled upon the first teaser of the movies about Jaques Mesrine! It's not much, but I think it looks good.

Fortunately, he lost that weight again!
