5:17 pm - BIO 113-114

shes_unreal
I am selling a book for Bio 113-114, Biology by Campbell and Reece.
It is in very good condition and includes the disc.
This is the sixth edition, not the seventh, but there is very little difference in the two books. All of the information is the same (cells and DNA don't change that much, dears) and I'm willing to bet that at least 95% of the diagrams are the same. When I took Bio, the lecturer pointed out differences between the sixth and fifth editions so those using old books knew what they were missing out on and a guy in my lab used the third edition with absolutely no problem.

You will spend $80-90 on a new book.
I'm willing to sell this one for $15.
If you or anyone you know is taking biology within the next year you might want to check this out.

8:26 pm - JCOM PreREQ books!!! (Also just GECs)

1. MICROECONOMICS by Michael Parkin for many ECON 200 classes (I had Gene Mumy).

This is the bound versian of the 6th addition (Mumy had this dumb thing that had to be put in a binder.) I believe this edition is EXACTLY THE SAME as the 7th edition, which is probably "required" this year, with the exception of ONE MISSING CHAPTER. Luckily you can easily photocopy those apx 15 pages from one of your friends OR if you're like me, since it's towards the end of the book, you'll never get to it anyway. CD included, which is moderately helpfull. This book goes for an average of about $20 on half.com.. the cheapest around $10, most expensive around $40. I don't know why the variation. I'm willing to part with it for $15. Without shipping that's as cheap as you could possibly get it on half.com, and it's not shitty. Some highlighting towards the beginning. I paid $55 for it used last year (the 7th addition KILLED its value).

2. THE AMERICAN STORY VOLUME ONE (to 1877) for History 151
by Robert A. Divine, T.H.Breen, George M. Fredrickson, R.Hal Williams

Also in fine condition. It's an easy to read history narrative. If you know anything about American history at all you can probably get by without it. But why not have it just in case? 10 bucks folks.

3. COLONIAL AMERICAN TRAVEL NARRATIVES, also for History 151
narratives by Mary Rowlandson Sarah Kemble Knight, William Byrd II, and Dr. Alexander Hamilton

I never even opened this. Basically brand new. It's going for a little more on half.com, but I'll let it go for $10.

4. WORK IN PROGRESS by Lisa Ede for English 110 (I had Steve Owley)

"A Guide to Academic Writing and Revising". Five bucks.

5. THE SCOTT FORESMAN HANDBOOK FOR WRITERS, also for English 110.
by Maxine Hairston, John Ruskiewics, Christy Friend

This is the 6th addition, there is now a 7th addtion. Mr. Owley accepted either, and the 7th addition costs like $30 used. There really isn't much difference, and Owley only assigned it for us to use as a guide so it didn't matter if the page numbers matched up. Can I get $7?

I've got a couple of books for sale.

I've got the Object-Oriented Approach and Systems Analysis and Design (both second edition) for CIS 616. I paid $80 for the set, but I'd sell em for $60.

I also have Microeconomics and Behavior for Econ 501. (If you are taking that class with Mark Owens it WILL be the same book for summer and fall.) I think I paid about $100 for it used (I really can't remember) but I'd take $60 for it too.

Any takers?

Cross posted.

So does anybody around here need a book for History 181? I have Richard Bulliet's The Earth and Its Peoples to 1550, 2nd edition. I've got it and I have a feeling they won't be buying it back... My 14 month old daughter decided one day it'd be a good idea to rip the cover in half, but that's the only thing wrong with it- no markings inside of anything. I think I maybe used it once? Anyways, I was thinking of selling it for half price of whatever it was going for in the bookstores or whatever. I'm not too worried on the price.

Unless somebody's got the from 1550 volume and need mine...I say we trade. I also have Popol Vuh used for the same class, then Mules and Men by Zora Neale Hurston, and Folk Groups and Folklore Genres: A Reader edited by Elliot Oring used for one of the Folklore classes. I know it's pretty late, but hey, I always buy my books late.

Has anyone here taken AED Econ? Or Animal Science 250 with Dr. Fike? or Rural Soc 378? If so, do I need a book for any of these classes? If no one has taken the classes, could someone tell me how to find out if I need a book, aside from just waiting until the quarter starts? Thanks!

cillav

Here's what I'm currently selling.  I have all of these listed on Amazon.com (look me up, mb20osu).  All of them are $0.01 less than the rest.  And they are typically MUCH cheaper than you'll find in the bookstores.  They are also in great condition.  Every single one of them.  Let me know if you are interested in any of them.  Thanks!

HDFS 665:  Parenting in Contemporary Society (4th Edition) $39.98

HDFS 560:  Family Interaction:  A Multigenerational Developmental Perspective  (3rd Edition)  $54.24

HDFS 670.01:  Adult Development and Aging  (5th Edition)  $59.99

Art Education 600:  Artworks for Elementary Teachers (9th Edition)  $40.49

The following books are for other classes which my boyfriend has had, but I don't know what classes exactly there are for.  I know they are chemistry, calculus, but I don't know the numbers.  I would recommend you e-mail your professors and find out what books you are going to need, they might be them!  :)

Chemistry:  The Central Science (Hardcover)  $20.00

Chemistry:  The Central Science (Paperback)  $10.00

Calculus with Analytic Geometry  $15.00

5:18 pm - Bakery

munchkin1616
Attention to all those who live in dorms, those who can't cook, those too busy, or those who would just rather have someone else take care of something (especially during finals time), as well as anyone would consider saving a trip to the grocery store as well as not wanting to spend $8.99 for a dozen cookies, a pan of brownies, or a cake:

If some bakery sounds like good eats, especially for those with birthdays coming up and too much study time goin' on, especially those LET ME KNOW!

I can make most any kind of cookies, brownies, cakes, and pies. If you want something special or decorated for a birthday or anniversary or even just for luck on finals for you or a friend, let me know! Prices much lower than the grocery store and I can deliver to dorms or you can pick it up.

Feel free to pass this info on to friends, boyfriends, floormates, etc. Just think, the more people you pass this on to, the more chance they'll be picking up some dessert and you can grab a bite! :)
