With the kids heading back to school, I always get bitten by the 'creativity bug'. I enjoy writing/portraying the character of Severus Snape in private story lines, or playing other characters with/against a good Severus, but I always have difficulty in finding a writing partner with whom I mesh. I thought I might try asking this group. :)

Slash line - Snarry or Snupin: I am looking for a slash line with either Harry or Remus sometime post DH or at least post HBP with an ignoring of inconvenient deaths and so on.

Het line - Severus/Hermione: Alternately, I would like to write a Severus/Hermione storyline, preferably in that same post-HBP/EWE timeframe.

Basic characteristics of myself and what I hope to find in a writing partner are the same whether writing slash or het lines.

I prefer to write Severus but can and will write Harry, Remus or Hermione against a strong Severus.

My good, strong writing relationships have lasted literally for years! This is so completely off topic, but I don't rp on Livejournal, so I'm lost. I know this is a HP only comm, but is there a place where I can post an ad such as "I'm looking to play Peeta against Katniss" on this server? Most of the rp comms seem to be comm ads only instead of character ads.

Hello! I'm Amanda, I'm 22, and I've unfortunately been out of the Harry Potter roleplaying fold for quite some time. I used to play excessively on GreatestJournal and various boards (proboards/invisionfree) and would really love to get back into the game. In the past I have played: Ginny Weasley, Fenrir Greyback, James Potter, Bellatrix Black-LeStrange, Alecto Carrow, Dorcas Meadowes, Teddy Lupin, Astoria Malfoy, Antonin Dolohov, and various canon-based OC's. I would prefer to stay on Livejournal instead of going to Insanejournal and am looking for any new games/interested SL partners. I can easily provide freshly written samples or search through the depths of my harddrive for anything that may have survived me. I'm open to all SL's and premises and eras.

My Luna's best set for a post DH game, particularly as she spent Harry's 7th year being locked up in a dungeon for four months and suffers from a mild case of PTSD because of it. She's still quirky, still takes things quite literally and honestly believes that nargles, illuminated pandas, tylendy ink thieves and especially crumple-horned snorkacks are out there (so, she's not entirely epilogue-compliant, because JK Rowling likes crushing Luna's dreams a little too much).

So after having seen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows quite a few time, I'm back into HP after years of not having played it!

That said, I'm looking for a Ron and Hermione PSL! It would be filling in the blanks of right after DH ended until the epilogue! Could do them discussing the kiss, becoming official, being together, their life together after, there are tons of possibilities!

I would play either Ron or Hermione (I have years of experience with both characters) and we could do it primarily over AIM with conversations and logs/threads through instant messaging!

What I'm Looking For

I'm looking for an exciting, active game that values quality over quantity and keeps OOC drama to a minimum. I'm fine with dark themes(it's really, really hard to squick me) and smut. Please, no games with a very strict policy on slash--I tend to lean towards it with both of my kids though I'm not opposed to het in any way. On the same note, I'd like to stay away from "slash only" games--I'm looking more for a game to focus on character growth and interesting plot with character sexuality being only a minor detail if I can.

I am looking to play a Slytherin character. Whether or not it's in a school setting or post-Hogwarts in the adult world isn't too important. I'm just looking for a good game with awesome players to blow off some steam and have fun.

I've got a specific character in mind. She's aloof, she's vindictive, she's caustic, and she's not an easily girl to like. But, at the same time, she's not a bad person. She's a person with flaws and virtues and is a working example of "good doesn't mean nice." As a half-blood with muggle relatives, she's very much against Voldermort and everything he stands for, while at the same time existing among the sons and daughters of the purebloods who rally for his cause. This would be magnified if she's in school but wouldn't be completely out of the picture once she's out of school. Reputations follow you for a lifetime.

I'd like to have the option of using an anonymous/non-famous person as a PB instead of using a named celebrity. It's hard to find a teen celebrity these days who isn't completely adorable and I like my characters to look like "normal" people.

If your game is full up on Slytherins but you're interested in what I've described, it's possible to modify her to be a Ravenclaw. I'd have to discuss it first.

Magical journals. I want to roleplay, not blog. (I'll reconsider if you don't require me to participate in the character blogging.)
Infrequent posting. It's disappointing when I start a scene and return to it later that day (or the next day) to see that no posts have been made.
Rampant slash/OOCness. I'm all for mixing things up with a few twists on a character's concept but I'd like to be in a game that at least tries to be true to the books. Slash can be great too, if done well.

Mandy Brocklehusrt is a genial, vibrant, and energetic soul. She enjoys laughter and chatter and will give anyone a chance so long as they seem willing to grant her the same courtesy. She hopes that her humour is as witty as she thinks it is. Though sweet and playful, she also doesn't mind telling someone the hard truth and when the time comes she tries to make sure not to be cruel about it. Mandy doesn't play games with people and won't pretend to be your friend to your face only to snark about you behind your back; you'll know where you stand in her book. She's only really mean if inadequately supplied with caffeine; without it, she can turn snappy and surly.

 

A bit forward with everyone, Mandy sometimes says what comes to mind without stopping to make sure it's appropriate. Perpetually single and perpetually looking for the right boy to make her heart race, she's a brazen flirt who tries to keep her more forward attentions to those who are also single. Breaking couples apart is an established no-no in her book and she will strive to make sure that she's not doing that. She flirts but doesn’t fling (no one night stands for this girl) and boys might consider her a tease for it, but she believes that she can respect herself and still have fun all the same.

 

As a member of the Quidditch team, she enjoys playing with the boys and doesn't mind getting physical or dirty in her daily activities with few exceptions. Mandy enjoys straddling that line of feminine and tomboy, being equally comfortable dressing down and enjoying a good pick-up game or participating in some other physical activity or dressing in something pretty even though she doesn't do the latter too often.

 

Mandy knows that she's intelligent, but tries not to be a know-it-all like some people she'd rather not name. She likes to attain good grades but would rather not do so at the cost of having a life. Along with the Quidditch team, she's a member of the Charms Society with no scandal, gossip, or question blackening her image.
