Muppet pastiche, satire and reinterpretation. Mostly
The Muppets ROCK. We all know that. Anyway, here's a little corner of the web where all the wondrous postmodernism of - and inspired by - The Muppets can be collected together, mostly for my own personal entertainment. There are lots of superb pastiches and satires and reinterpretations of Muppet fun out there and I wanted to get them all together in one place. I have a theory that the original Muppet Show was a lot more postmodern than people care to admit (but that's a bunch of cultural theory gubbins for me to worry about, not you).
Naturally you're more than welcome to post your own videos and pictures but dudes, can we keep an eye on the quality, please? I'm sure your neighbour's vet's six-year-old cousin looks adorable singing 'Halfway Down the Stairs' with a teacosy on his/her head but this isn't the place to share it!
Lastly, if you post more than one video in a post, or a huge image, please use the LJ cut thingo!
Now have fun! Thankyou!
