Wreck Of The Day I Knew You Before
I'm sitting in the loft on the floor and I'm wrapped in my baby blanket that's worn with age. My hair is damp from the shower I took an hour ago. My hands are cold. I've had the same song on repeat for the last half hour. I sit here staring out the window trying to find the right words. I don't know them anymore.

Bright Eyed
Early morning sunrise
and a cup of coffee
or two.
Early birds chirping.
A pink and blue horizon.
It's peaceful and still.
I miss this.

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars. -Oscar Wilde

Jump way back to one time, Evie and me did this fashion shoot in a junk yard, in a slaughterhouse, in a mortuary. We'd go anywhere to look good by comparison, and what I realize is mostly what I hate about Evie is the fact that she's so vain and needy. But what I hate most is how she's just like me. What I really hate is me so I hate pretty much everybody. -Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk

"But I'll have to ask you to wait a long time, Anne," said Gilbert sadly. "It will be three years before I'll finish my medical course. And even then there will be no diamond sunbursts and marble halls." Anne laughed. "I don't want sunbursts and marble halls. I just want you." -Anne of the Island by L.M. Montgomery

"The Guide says that there is an art to flying," said Ford, "or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." -Life, the Universe and Everything by Douglas Adams
