Okay, so it's been a bit longer than a month LOL. This is a reclist of some of the fics I bookmarked in May and June - I participated in a remix event where the anon period ended in May, and they were all such certified banners, I've decided to just do a Remix Round-Up Reclist later. Otherwise this list would be like 40 works long 😂

As always, I read a variety of ratings and moods, so please check the tags and any other provided warnings. I’ve included Archive Warnings/Chose Not to Warn when applicable

Fandoms Included: DCU, Star Trek, BBC Sherlock, Honkai: Star Rail, The Murderbot Diaries, Katekyou Hitman Reborn, Sunrise on the Reaping, Avatar: The Last Airbender, My Hero Academia, MDZS/The Untamed, and a fannish Original Work

A month-long drabble challenge run by thedrabblecollective on Tumblr. The challenge theme was Alternate Universes, so all of the prompts were inspired by different kinds of AUs (Full Prompt List Here). I managed to complete the first six days of prompts, and I've listed the fics below:

Two rec lists in a month? 😱 It's more likely than you think :D

So I love fanvids, and I've been meaning to put together a rec list of them for a while now, especially since I have recently bookmarked some fanvids on Ao3. And I finally got around to coming up with a selection of some of my favorites, both old and new

Fandoms Included: The Untamed/MDZS, Batman, Genshin Impact, Marvel, House MD, Supernatural(ish), Elementary, Sherlock, Katekyou Hitman Reborn, Star Wars, Honkai: Star Rail, Vampires SMP, Warrior Cats, Grimm, Non-Fandom

Prompt: 2026 May Drabble Challenge Day 6: Coffee
Summary: Kafka follows the warm scent of coffee downstairs
Notes: Title is a reference to Suspense by Emily Dickinson
Crossposted to: Ao3 | Sunset | Neocities

Kafka follows the warm scent of coffee downstairs, her fingers running along the bottom edges of pictures hanging on the wall. Hushes voices and sweet laughter grow steadily louder, and her heart squeezes in her chest.

The last stair gives her a view into the kitchen, her wives smiling over steaming mugs of the bitterest coffee known to man. A smile graces her lips as she leans, cross-armed, against the wall.

Twisting around with a frown, Feixiao asks, “Did we wake you?”

Kafka shrugs, “I was cold.”

“The horror,” Himeko laughs.

And Kafka slides between them again with shared kisses.

polyamships Three Weeks for Dreamwidth

This ship was supposed to be one (1) fic. It was meant to poke fun at myself for the way my Feixiao and Kafka pulls went during the 2.5 patch. I lost both my 50/50s, Feixiao and Himeko came home at exactly 78 pity each, and Kafka showed up literally one patch after Himeko, using one of the three pulls I got from losing the 50/50 and getting a Himeko eidolon. And then I thought about it…

Firstly, their ultimate lines go together so well: Feixiao's "Victory is inevitable!" and Himeko's "Humanity never conceals its desire to control the heavens… And I'm no exception." vs Kafka's "Good times never last" FIGHT!

Like its about fighting fate until it unfolds in your favor vs already preparing yourself for when things inevitably slip through your fingers and also its about the desperation to turn the tide vs the matter-of-factness that the tide will turn one day (or else)

And then I wrote a different fic for them and in responding to the comment I got on it, I said:

They're all such badasses, and each of them are incredibly devoted to their respective path/duty, and they will absolutely choose those duties above each other because that is What Must Be Done but it will also be their absolute last choice every time. And God help you if you cross any of them

( Additional Thoughts Below )
As you can see, I am incredibly normal about my pool noodle, and in case anyone is wondering: No I haven't finished that initial fic yet. Instead it's been joined by 7 other WIPs and an additional plotbunny I haven't even started working on

Prompt: 2026 May Drabble Challenge Day 2: Demon
Summary: March browses the shelves of her library
Notes: Title is from Don't Go Into the Library by Alberto Ríos
Crossposted to: Ao3 | Neocities

March slides her finger along book spines, absently reading the titles: Your Guardian Angel and You, Connecting with the Spirit Realm, Demon Summoning for the Lovelorn… Who comes up with this stuff?

She pulls the last book off the shelf, strokes the cracked leather cover, traces the blocky title written in gold, and shrugs. It’s not like she has anything better to do tonight, and who knows? Maybe she’ll summon someone tall, dark, and devilishly handsome. She giggles at the thought.

Ah, who is she kidding? It’s probably just some mish-mashed Latin and strange-looking symbols. Nothing’s going to actually happen.

Crossposted to: Ao3 | Neocities

Acheron’s blade slashes red, carving the sky in two. As color bleeds back into the world, Stelle turns to March with a stupid grin on her face, points to the broken sky, and says. “Hot.”

March splutters. “You can’t just call every dangerous baddie you come across ‘hot’!”

“I just did,” Stelle shrugs with a smirk. Then her expression melts into offense, “Hey! I don’t call every badass woman we come across ‘hot’.” She crosses her arms over her chest and turns away with a huff.

“No, just the ones who could kill you,” Mr. Yang sighs. “Could we, perhaps, return to the matter at hand?” He gestures towards the gathering members of the Bloodhound family, the wreckage of the stage, and the empty space where Aventurine once stood. After getting sheepish acquiescences from the girls, Himeko smothers a laughing smile off to the side, he turns and walks towards the gathering of Bloodhounds.

His companions follow in his wake, but Stelle once again gestures towards the sky and mouths, “Hot,” at March behind his back. March rolls her eyes with a heavy sigh. Covering her eyes with a hand, she mutters, “We just can’t take you anywhere, can we?”

Prompt: 10 Days to 1k Day 1: Donut
Summary: In which March asks herself: Just how many donuts can she stack on Dan Heng's horns?
Crossposted to: Ao3 | Neocities

“March, what are you doing?”

“Nothing~” March grins, teetering on her tiptoes as she carefully threads the sprinkle donut over Dan Heng’s horns. She stacks it carefully on top of a glazed donut, then reaches for the small bag of donut holes on the table beside her.

Dan Heng opens his eyes, giving up all pretenses, and splutters, “Are those donuts?!”

Giggling, March sticks a chocolate donut hole on the tip of each horn and snaps a picture of her masterpiece before running out the door. Dan Heng stumbles after her, unbalanced by his donut crown, with a half-growled, “March!”
