I've got a 2nd interview at Sephora coming up next week. I wanted to ask them something but I'm worried about it.
Do they allow piercings and unnatural hair? I know MAC does but I'm not sure about Sephora. Since some of you girls work there I figured you'd know first hand the dress code rules.
I never ask at interviews because I have been told people get judged on it so I usually wait but I'm impatient. XD

Hey! So tomorrow I have an INTERVIEW to work at Sephora!!!!!!!!!!! I'm too excited!! It's a new one opening up in my mall (upper canada) Does anyone have an tips? Should I make sure my makeup looks awesome!? DO you get a discount for working there? WHat do the pay like!?

OMG!!!! Sephora's on HSN!!!! JOSE (SIDE NOTE**he was one of my SOS and color encore trainers!!! and my IDOL!!!! he did my makeup one time and i was so nervous and i didn't want to wash my face!!!**) is on tv doing makeup at one of our makeup stations and using our brushes! this is soooo exciting!!! we're gonna have a line out the door tomorow!!

With the summer coming up, I've been looking into geting a new foundation (perf. oiil-free and/or matifying) and the new MUFE ones really caught me eye! I tried one on yesterday and fell in LOVE. I have combo/oily skin but perfer the liquid/dewy look, but I know i cant handle it for the summertime.
The AC at my store (I work at Sephora in Miami, FL) is broken so we had to walk around in our Sephora shirts back and forth helping clients (busy due to Presidents Day!) I wore the powder for about 5 hours before I saw even the slightest HINT of shine/oil production on my face. Thats a HUUUGGGEEE accomplishment -- so for any of you ladies this may apply to PLEASE pick one of these up with confident! They're relatively cheap for $32 as well and come in a super slim compact!
I'll be trying to MatVelvet foundation next time I get to work early :]

So apparently JC Penney is working with Sephora (as of April of this year).

This fall, all JC Penney beauty counters will be operated by Sephora. That is, there will be a Sephora within every JC Penney (same color scheme, gondolas, and knowledgeable sales people). I'm not sure of all the details, but I just discovered this today. It seems pretty cool, especially for people who may not live near four Sephoras (or even just one!) like I do. ;)

It'll help me if any of you actually work there/applied there before.
So I was wondering to apply there, just say even as a part time cashier of anything, is there things in particular they look for? Like maybe they want you to be a certain age, ie 18 or over?
Any and all info would be a great help.

just a heads up... sephora brand is discontinuing all of their shadows, reformulating, repackaging, revamping the whole thing... and let me tell you, the final outcome is AMAZZZziNG!!! these shadows are super pigmented, wet/dry shadows, better than urban decay! we got the samples in my store already and i can not wait to see the rest! you guys can get a sneak preview from the french sephora page. there will be new singles, duos, and quads. i'll repost when it's official and they're on the shelves!!
