confused

current mood: confused

Alex had his one month checkup on tuesday. He now weighs 8 lbs 14 oz, when he was born he weighed 7lbs 1 oz. The doctor said that he was alittle ahead of the game with his weight gain. He basically said that we feed him too much. We only feed him when he is hungry.
He said normally babies should be eating 2-3 oz every 4 hours. But Alex wants to eat 4-6 oz every 3 hours. The doctor said that he only wants attention and that he is not hungry so we should pick him up calm him down and put him back to sleep. But the thing is, is when Alex is hungry he cries until he gets the bottle in his mouth, there is no calming him down.

Everything that I have read in my baby books say that you should feed baby on demand..

For those of you who are formula feeding how much does your baby eat and how often..

Im thinking I should find a new doc..

4 weeks old already!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to update y'all on Ryan. He's four weeks today. Gotten so big! And gorgeous! And man, does this kid have a temperment. LOL He gets so mad at me if I take the bottle away just to burp him! He'll scream! I gave him his third bath today - actually in the baby tub in the bathtub instead of the kitchen sink - and he didn't scream too much. He actually looked kind of intrigued! LOL He did scream when I took him out of the warm water though! Anyways, feeding schedule is messed up today - He's eating 1 ounce every hour, which is frustrating. How do I get him off of this? Last feeding he did eat 3 ounces but he normally eats 4-6 at a feeding, every 3-4 hours. Right now he's eating every hour to every 2. I love being a Mommy though!

mikaylah has her days and nights mixed up.
she sleeps all day and is up all night.
i try to keep her awake during the day but it
seems almost impossible, her being only a week old.
being a single mom - this is hard.

anyone have any advice on how to get her on a schedule?
