swirvel42)Hi everyone. I'm sorry I haven't updated too much. I haven't even posted in my regular journal in months. But right now I really need some advice. My son is 4.5 mos old has a bad cold, is on albuterol, and is vomiting. Nothing will stay down. Not even mommy milk. :( I'm giving him some pedialyte, per recomendation of dr, but I'm wondering if there's anything else I should/could do.

We're putting our house on the market, so I've hardly had time to keep up with LJ till today, when we're enforcing an easy day - Ali got her first ear infection :( She was in such a horrible mood for about 36 hours till the ibuprophen from the doc brought the fever down. Crying, screaming, not sleeping - hasn't been so bad since my milk was late her first couple days after birth.
The doc prescribed antibiotics fot ten days, twice a day. It takes us about 20 minutes getting her dose down, all the while she's screaming like she's being cut up alive. Have you guys had similar experiences?
Also while I'm on the subject, we were thinking of taking a 4-5 hour trip (each way) next weekend, which Ali would do fine if not for the infrction. Is it too soon? Should we not try till she's off the antibiotics? Any experience with this?
On the positive side, Ali has just learned to clap! I'm superexcited, and so is she :) And she's waving now. Hopefully she won't forget while she's miserable this week. No pics - the camera and main comp still under painters plastic.
