When I was 5, I was the best damn fingerpainter in my class.
When I was 10, I fell in love with reading and writing, even though my handwriting was abysmal.
When I was 12, I learned that no matter what you do you are never truly accepted.
When I was 14, I changed everything I knew and embarked on an adventure to conformity.
When I was 19, I crashed and burned in more ways than one, and had to piece my life back together.
And now, I came back to fix the pieces of what I started... my life.
Those are the highlights. Somewhere between those signposts of growth and vulnerability, everything else came into play. I found myself at home in the kitchen with flour up to my elbows, and a joy for a baked good. I found some of the best people that walked the earth, and was somehow lucky enough to call them my friends. I learned that my mother really was a good friend, and that the golden rule is pretty damn reasonable.
I even began to get a sense of who I am, and who I want to be. And that is half the fun.
If anyone who finds me on livejournal and wants to add me as a friend go for it! But please no negativity! And if I don't add you you probably suck!
