Shirley Bassey made her U.S. television debut on 13th November 1960, performing on The Ed Sullivan Show. She went on to appear on the show several times between then and 1971. Years ago, I made digital copies of my VHS videotapes of those shows, but the quality was not great and I was not allowed to upload them to YouTube. Later, they were uploaded to YouTube in great quality by the official Ed Sullivan Show channel.
In 1974 and 1977, Shirley Bassey gave concerts in Japan, both of which were recorded and released on double albums. The 1974 recording was released, in 2008, by BGO on CD but, unfortunately, the 1977 recording never was, although we still hope it might be eventually.
Thomas Hockling from Germany transferred the 1977 concert to CD and I uploaded the WAV file to this blog. If you download it here you can record the concert directly onto a CD.

Today, the Australian single of Something, which was released as a four track EP with two of the songs from the I’ve Got A Song For You album. Songs: Something, Strangers In The Night, Easy To Be Hard & The Shadow Of Your Smile. Below, another great live version of Something from the 1993 World Choir concert at Cardiff Arms Park and a never-released live version of The Shadow Of Your Smile, which was meant for one of the shows in the 1979 BBC TV series.
