If you can disregard the fact that its controversy only stems from it being distributed by a conservative group, Run Hide Fight is a pretty solid action film with a fresh take on Die Hard by setting it in the not too explored delicate premise of a school shooting. A look at the cast already feels like a rebuttal of this being a 'right-wing' movie with an unconventional black and white pair, a strong female lead, side characters who feel real plus a cool dad who is a bit more of a realistic version to Liam Neeson in Taken. The only flaws i can think of are the villains being cartoonish lunatics for their age, that ludicrous and cheesy final act and the jarring shifts between the tense action and what felt like too many slow moments (maybe it could use some more editing).

Quite the story in Asian Games 2018 swimming...

China's Sun Yang started it when he boldly declared he'd win gold in every event he's in and has also openly challenged his Japanese rival Kosuke Hagino.

Both are deemed Asia's swim kings and prior to last night's main event — the 4x200m freestyle relay — Sun has been winning gold and Hagino narrowly surrendered to silver in his individual event...

Come the team relay however, Japan and China were neck and neck but Hagino's steady swim ensured Japan the gold and snapped Sun's gold medal streak while at it (Joseph Schooling also makes his comeback with Singapore taking bronze).

So now the swimming rivals are even!

Tonight though, they will face for the first time in an individual event at the men's 400m freestyle in lanes 4 and 5, respectively.

PS: Japan sure loves their freestyle and relays!

Finished marathoning a long series over a span of a few days - something i haven’t done since Gundam Seed in college - just goes to show how HAIKYUU!!, that anime show about volleyball, is just really good. I love how they made me appreciate men’s volleyball a little bit more. they also did this amazing thing where they turned the bastard side character into a hero and even though i kind of sensed it coming, the execution was just great. Kei Tsukishima’s character development now shares the likes of Neji Hyuuga, Luigi Yoshida or Prince Zuko.

The top-notch animation (nothing less from the legendary Production IG studio known for Ghost In The Shell) made the sporty action breathtaking and the music (haven’t put an anime song on repeat in more than a decade, kudos Burnout Syndromes’ Fly High and Hikariare) was on point too!
