Found an article talking a little bit about the next two games for Spain's National Team. On Friday, October 8th, they play against Lithuania and then on Tuesday, October 12th they will play Scotland.
Achilles problem rules Xavi out of Spain Qualifiers
Barcelona midfielder Xavi has been left out of Spain's squad for next month's Euro 2012 qualifiers against Lithuania and Scotland because of an Achilles tendon problem.
Coach Vicente Del Bosque has decided not to risk Xavi for the double header while Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol (ankle) also misses out along with Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas, who suffered a hamstring injury at Sunderland 12 days ago which was expected to sideline him for up to three weeks.
( Rest of the article talks more on the actual matches..Collapse )

Busquets: Spain must start again
"Winning the world title should now be over. It will go down in history and now we must start again."
Sergio Busquets says Spain must not look beyond Friday's UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier against Liechtenstein, their first competitive game since winning the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.
Vicente del Bosque's side added the world crown to their European title when they beat the Netherlands 1-0 in South Africa in July.
They will launch their bid to defend their position as European champions at the Rhein Park in Vaduz before going on to face Argentina in a friendly the following Tuesday.

Puyol pulls out for Spain
Barcelona captain Carles Puyol has withdrawn from the Spain squad for the upcoming matches against Liechtenstein and Argentina because of injury.
The 32-year-old defender was forced out of the national team's first training session today complaining of pain in his left leg and he has returned home to Barcelona, where he will undergo more tests tomorrow.
( Little more on the injuryCollapse )

Hi all! Today I had the wonderful opportunity to see the players of Real Madrid up close (& get my national jersey signed by Casillas). I had my camera with me & took a few pictures & I thought I'd share one I enjoyed:
If you're interested, there are more pictures of different players on my Flickr. No, there are no pictures of Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo. Not any offense meant to him, actually, he just had his head turned the other way.

Before these beautiful couple jet off to San Francisco for their romantic vacation, Iker brought Sara to visit his family in Navalacruz.
Either Iker loves to show off his legs or he has an acute obsession with bermudas! Isn't he wearing them EVERYWHERE?! ( More of them looking pretty and suave!Collapse )
What about all these rumours we hear about these two lovebirds getting married? Anyone has any idea on this?

Fernando Torres has something else to celebrate after Spain's World Cup victory - another baby - (via DailyMail)
Fernando Torres has been just as busy off the pitch as he has been on by the looks of his wife, who showed off her baby bump while out with the Liverpool striker.
After celebrating Spain’s victory in the World Cup, Torres, 26, will soon be celebrating another child with his wife of one year.
Olalla Dominguez Liste, 25, was spotted with her Spanish beau and their 12-month-old daughter Nora, while strolling along the streets of A Coruna in north-west Spain.
Baby joy: Fernando Torres goes for a stroll with his pregnant wife Olalla
( Evidence of Torres playing the role of a loving husband and father under the cut!Collapse )
Aww! Baby Nora, who is soon to be a big sister, looks so adorable and chubby just like Torres was when he was a baby. And DAMN, don't Torres looks sooooo freaking fine! Love the outfits on both him and his missus!
Congratulations to the Torres-Dominguez family!

Our very own Sergio Ramos is on a 4-days trip to Dakar as a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF. Here we see him hanging out with the Senegalese youth, playing a little bit of footballer as well.
And also, we get a good look at his new hairstyle! ( Ramos & his man-braidsCollapse )

The Royal Family of Spain held a reception to welcome the Spain team at the Zarzuela Palace the day they landed in Madrid. As usual, the players were greeted with handshakes and hugs. But there is no doubt that the highlight and main attention of the whole event apart from the WC trophy was the appearance of two little guests, Princess Sofia and Princess Leonor.
We get to see a glimpse of how fatherly and gentle Iker gets with the girls and how some of the players were all smiles upon seeing how cute the little princesses were with the trophy. Just look at how cute their jerseys are on them! Oh and Prince Felipe actually asked the girls to give Iker a kiss at one point but they were reluctant! (They will look back at this and regret it, I guess!) Video evidence under the cut!
( And the boys sure look good in their tracks and tees!Collapse )
COMMENTS ON THE CUTENESS! You know you have something to say! & somebody please icon the princesses, thanks!

World Cup celebrations continue (in sober style) as Iker Castillas and girlfriend Sara Carbonero have dinner in Madrid - Via Dailymail
The World Cup may have been over on Sunday - and a lot longer for most of us - but the celebrations will continue in Spain for a very long time.
Especially for Iker Casillas and his girlfriend Sara Carbonero who were snapped out enjoying a post-tournament meal with some friends in Madrid last night.
But despite making history just a few days earlier when Spain lifted the World Cup for the first time ever, the country's goalkeeper stayed sober so he could drive him and his sports journalist girlfriend home afterwards.
