Summary: Dean comes back from the dead when Sam is ordering breakfast. This would be less troubling if Sam hadn't burned the body.
Author's Notes: The idea for this story was conceived around the end of season 3, when I decided I needed to challenge myself. I'm a writer, in general, of Supernatural short stories, so I wanted to attempt a longer fic to stretch my proverbial writing legs. As a continuation of Dean and Sam's current situation, there are a couple inevitable similarities between the season premiere (I won't say what to protect the spoiler-free types, but ask me if you're curious) and the fic. I came up with this story, as I said, before spoilers came out, so any coincidences are just that: coincidences. The story is going to take a very different path than the actual series, so please bear with me!

I'm extremely nervous, but also very open to any comments or constructive criticism you can give me. Please enjoy and let me know what you think! This part is much shorter than others are going to be; it's more of a prologue almost than a chapter.
