SKYNEST When you wake up, you find yourself in what appears to be a large bird's nest. It's just your size and quite comfortable, at least until you remember that you don't normally sleep in one. When you sit up and look around, you find that you've been taken to a fantastic city. It's rather beautiful, to be sure; almost something that you'd hear about in a fairy tale. As you step out of your nest, however, you quickly find out something interesting about this city: it's floating in the sky.
Yes, the city floats high above the ground, to the point where you can't even see said ground: only a mass of clouds. Luckily, there seem to be large stone fences around the edge; you won't be falling off unless you deliberately climb over.
It's not long before you notice a few other oddities about this city. First of all, you're wearing a gemstone pendant around your neck, and have hardly an idea how it got there. Another strange thing is that your powers - whatever they might have been - are limited, somehow. There might be some you can't use, or you simply might not be able to use them to their full extent. It seems difficult to leave this place, as well. You could fly out, but who knows how far away the ground is, let alone a mountain to rest on?
Who brought you here, and why? No one can answer this question for you. You could search for the answers if you so wish, but you will find no evidence. You might try to escape, but you'll inevitably die doing so. Death isn't the end here, either. If you do happen to meet your end, you'll only awaken back in your nest, with or without your memories of this place.
Welcome to Skynest. Enjoy your stay.

In ages past, the island paradise of Altruia once flourished with life, with culture. Great cities sprawled amid the jungles, the marble and limestone shimmering in the bright sun. The people We loved lived in grace and harmony with the flora and fauna of the jungle. They were Our children, and We bestowed upon them peace, longevity, and knowledge. We watched with joy as they grew from a primitive society into a great civilization, developing great technological advances to better life for all on the island.
It was a utopia beyond parallel. All lived in peace, singing their praises to Us, and We walked among them in love for centuries untold.
But, as it often does, power corrupted the leaders of this great society. They grew selfish and vain, abusing what We had so graciously given. They turned their attentions, not to peace and betterment of their fellows, but to war and conquest. Angered by this betrayal of Our trust, We touched the earth beneath the Palace of Eternity and lifted the ancient earth, opening the rift in the land and letting the molten core flow from the wound. The newly formed volcano demolished the beautiful Altruia, razed to the earth its once imperial splendor.
Altruia was no more.
For eons We wept, uncaring that Nature once more extended her gentle hand and began to reclaim what We had once cherished so lovingly. Overcome with Our grief, We let the memories of Our beloved Altruia fade into Time’s passage, shadowed echoes of what had once been this paradise. But even as We returned to our heavenly abode, Our ears quickened with the voices of new life, life that had come into being out amongst the distant stars. Life that might even bring about the restoration of Our former Altruia.
And so, We awakened from Our mourning and began to extend Our hands, bringing those to Us who might take Us forward into bright glory once again…for Altruia… |
Welcome, Honored Traveler, to Altruia.
Altruia is a pan-fandom/Original Character rp community that is takes place on a large island in the middle of some unknown ocean. The island is completely isolated, but there are remnants of what used to be a great civilization buried deep in the jungles.
There is no running water, no electricity, no air conditioning, no “comforts of home”. However, residents are given “gifts” by the not-so-trusting gods of Altruia, so that they might better survive and eventually recolonize the once great empire.
For further information, please visit the following links. And enjoy your stay on our beautiful island paradise.

desperately seeking.....
i've been a huge fan of most things square for a lot of years now, and my 10 year old is fast becoming a fan as well. chrono cross is far ans away his favorite. he's always listening to my soundtrack. would anyone here happen to have the sheet music for nikki's concert. it would blow his mind if he came home from school one day and heard me blasting the guitar riffs from the back room. i've seen the guitar tabs several places, usually by the same guy. and frankly they're not very good. if anyone can help it could make christmas that much cooler for a little boy. thanks in advance even if nothing comes of this. | | Tuesday, November 18th, 2008 | 3:29 pm [sheepywrath]

Rewrite the Stars: A Panfandom Role Play |
ONCE UPON A WRITER'S BLOCK... It was clear and starry that faithful night that he wrote the heavens out of existence. It had been an accident, one that he was completely unaware of, and as he sat in front of a blank manuscript, it hit him, that dreaded fit of writer's block. He did everything that he could to ward it off, but the dastardly thing was there to stay and, after a fit of doing nearly everything but sitting on his head (while the idea did cross his mind), an idea finally did come to him. What if the stars disappeared from the sky, and what if those stars, placed mysteriously in the heavens, were each their own world? What would happen to those poor people with no place to call their own? His quill quickly went to work, and he began to write as if possessed; it was his best idea yet!
Funny how certain ideas just never seem to stay to one's self.
It came on fast like a summer's storm, and one by one the stars flickered out of existence from the night sky. The young writer's seemingly harmless story had become a reality, and many found their worlds disappearing before them in a flash. Before they had any recollection of what had happened to them, however, they found themselves in a world unfamiliar and strange with an empty head, not knowing where they had come from or how they arrived where they were in the first place. And where, do you ask, did these hapless heroes and villains alike pop up?
Welcome to Serendipity, a thriving renaissance-era town surrounded on all sides by an impenetrable wall. The stars and moon shine here just a bit too brightly, and the city itself is caught in a perpetual night. Ask anyone from town about the world outside, and you'll get the same answer all around; "What outside world?" Oh dear... profile layout » rules » taken » reserved » wanted » apply » affiliate |

Reminiscence - UnRaveling | Reminiscence - UnRaveling
Sora is missing...
Sora's memories are reverting. Namine put them together, but they're slowly unraveling again... Sora is not forgottening others this time, he's forgetting himself. It began through Sora's dreams -- like his previous dreams in the past have warned him of his future. This realm is a collection of his memories and, each time he has one and forgetting his past experiences, piece by piece.
The goal is to "reset" Sora. He's had opportuinities in the past to choose the darkness and he's refused, but that's because he had something to protect and this is the Dark's fetch at the Keyblade wielder. This is now a quest for his own heart.
This Board Welcomes Characters from Final Fantasy 6-12, Kingdom Hearts Characters and Made Ups.

twilight_city Waking up one day you find your life just as it has always been. Living in a perfect world where you go to school or work, have friendships and meaningful relationships. you have a past and a future, a present that is so concrete that you don’t question twice.
But what if things weren’t as they seemed? What if this perfect city was too windless to be true? Things look surreal but at the same time everything looks like the reality you’ve always belonged to.
Twilight City is on a plane of existence all on its own. There is no start to the city and no end. No one really has any urge to leave the wonderful little metropolis and even if they did want to leave, they always somehow… sometimes in bizarre ways-- find themselves back in the city tucked away in their plastic little lives.
This city is a fake. But all you know and have known is the city in the Twilight.
Twilight City is a role playing game set within a contained world of one single city. It involves the characters from Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and Disney!

Chaos Wrought - Keyblade Wars...
It's been a year since Sora returned to his home with Riku and Kairi. A year sense Sora has been seen...
The letter given to Sora by Kiari's hand was fake, supposedly written by King Mickey, the Keyblade's chosen one is missing. Organization XIII seems have returned, though all of them have not yet re-awakened. They are formulating plans to remake Kingdom Hearts and get back what which they desire most. Their hearts. Roxas and Naminé return though no longer complete with their somebodies. Though neither has anyone seen Roxas sense Sora's dissaperance. New KeyBladers are surfacing, many using these powers for chaos not of light.
The Final Fantasy Worlds of 7, 8, 10 and 12 have been rediscovered, and reopened. Many other worlds that were believed lost or destroyed seem to be re-appearing as well....

Hello there! I posted a while ago under my main journal keeta for my eBay auctions. I've gotten rather tired of the hassle of eBay and the fees that they charge, so I'm giving selling solely on LJ a shot, and this is my selling journal. For sale I have PS2 games & guides (Final Fantasy X-2 and Guitar Hero III), Gamecube games & guides (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Star Fox Adventures), NES games, a couple manga (Cyborg 009 and Eternal Sabbath), tons of books, clothes, Pokemon cards, Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, Magic the Gathering cards, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh figurines, and Breyer model horses. Everything I sell is used in excellent condition and sold for dirt cheap. So please take a look! | | Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008 | 10:24 pm [keeta]

Animaelia : A Multi-Fandom, Alternate Universe RPG
 |
Many years ago, a group of people—ordinary humans, like you or I—discovered a veritable Eden, where the weather seemed gentler, the plants lusher, and the earth more fertile. Having traveled far and wide in search of a place to call home, they decided to settle down in this place. It was no coincidence that this little haven existed; it was already the home of a small group of demigods who had harnessed their magic collectively to make a place for themselves on earth. They had long ago left the divine realm in favor of a place where their magic would not be overshadowed by their full-blooded counterparts.
Dissatisfied with the idea of having to share the same place, despite the plenteous conditions, the leader of these deities, a mischievous sort, challenged the human populace to a bet. Whichever group could prepare the most land for harvest in the time that it took for the last moon of spring to grow full would stay; the other would have to leave. After much debate the humans agreed to the challenge on one condition: the gods would compete as normal mortals, unaided by their magic. Undaunted and sure of their superiority, the demigods agreed.
By the time the new moon rose, it was evident that without their magic to aid them, the demigods were nearly helpless. Having never needed to strain themselves, they were unprepared for days of long labor. Adding insult to injury, the humans had domesticated beasts and created tools to make their work quicker and easier. When the full moon rose, the humans had cleared, plowed and sown the entirety of their allotted fields, and the demigods still had much work to be done.
Angry and feeling cheated—had not the humans used a “magic” of their own?—the demigods transformed all of the people, right down to the tiniest babe, into the very beasts that they had used to complete their work. It was only by the grace of the Gods watching the whole ordeal that they were forced to change the people back and honor their word. However, even with the spell undone, the people were forever changed—their bodies could never completely regain their human shape and to this day retain elements of their ancestor’s brief existence as beasts.
It has been many centuries since people have seen demigods or Gods, and the world has changed much since. Magic still exists in corners and crevices and out in the wild beyond settled countries. But the creatures and beings from whom such power originated have long since disappeared. It is rumored that somewhere out there exists a forest that repels travelers… who can say what is hidden behind that impassible wood?
