Hello fellow state_slash members! I'm your newest addition, and seeing as I got the ok to do this, I'm going to post my OC state-tan for all to see! I'm not so sure about making him a journal, but if anyone wants more information I suppose that definitely do able! So take a look, and hope you like it~

State-tan for your general enjoyment! First one, so please be kind? Maybe?

I know, not so original, but guess what! Its about more then likely the least known state in the US of A! New Mexico! Being a live long resident I've had quite a bit of fun with this! Some fun facts for people everyone unfamiliar with New Mexico~

And if that doesn't tempt you check out the pretty drawing? Plznthx?

Okay... so it doesn't meet the length prompt but the other drabble I'm working on proved to require Alot of research. so... It's taking longer than I thought. So here's the AU possibility that I had in reserve if Sven ended up dumping Will after the Kink!thread.
Sven is obviously not mine. but Will is.

( cut for lengthCollapse )

1. This is a Fic-A-Thon.

You can post a prompt or pairing and hope someone will choose to write about the prompt or pairing. Or you can just post your own fic.

2. 1000 words minimum. Not such a hard task, right? ;) (Ten drabbles with 100 words each will qualify as a 1000 word fic.)

3. Anything goes in this really. Generic, het, slash, femmeslash, backstory, etc.

4. In the subject line put a rating please. Warn us if there is porn in other words.

5. If you use a name on this list: http://community.livejournal.com/state_slash/1011.html and you did not think up the name, please credit the person who thought up the name.

6) Have fun. Be civil. :)

Do you like World War II?

We like the American Civil War.

This is an RP community for personified states set during the American Civil War.

taken/wanted characters*rules*applications

I was wondering if we should describe what the characters look like, at least in our own canon.

Refer to http://community.livejournal.com/state_slash/1011.html for names. Or make your own!

C'mon, let's do this thiiiing.

Who do you ship together and why? Are they female/female, male/male, female/male. Do you have an OT3? More than 3? Are they "canon" to you? Do you have an unrequited ship? Do you think a state shouldn't be shipped with anyone?

I personally ship DC with any Capital or major City(because I don't think she would work out with any state and heck some cities have larger populations than a state does. Ex: Alaska has around 600000 residents, New York City has around 7-8 million. That is my argument for City-tans.) But in my "canon" she's only been with Honululu and Chicago (Honululu was an ~expert~ and Chicago was...ineffective XD.)

Also, how open would you all be to a fic-a-thon/kink-a-thon. If you're open to the idea would you like it to be anonymous posting or otherwise?

Have any of you thought about turning Cities that are rather well-populated into anthropomorphic beings? What about turning state Capital's into Capital-tan?

At what point do you draw the line in this fandom and say "no more tan's," and why?

I personally somewhat support it. If you support it, do you think we should have names for the City/Capital-tans and include them in this community?

edit:

If you would like City/Capital-tans, at what point would you consider something not a city? How small would the population have to be?

Rules for using these names:
If you use these names in a fic or artwork, credit the person whose username is next to the name you've used. If you've used so many that it would be impractical to do so, link back to this post.

As you can see, many more names are needed. XD The list will be updated. Add new names here when you think of them.

What should the State-tan's be named? Because there are more than one State-tan for some states.

I think DC should be named Districia, but like to be called Tricia.

Kansas can be Kellie.

dropsofviolet: Kentucky is Kim Tucker

edit: I'll gather all the names and put them in a list later.
