Hotline Miami requires DirectX because it relies on the DirectX 9.0c runtime libraries to handle its graphics rendering, audio processing, and hardware communication on Windows or you can Browse your local files and launch the game directly using HotlineGL.exe rather than HotlineMiami.exe

Thanks, if I click on the HotlineMiami_Original app in the soubors, it somehow turns on the game. Not through steam tho and the sound seems bugged.
If I wanted it thru the steam, I just download the DirectX?
Could you tell me more?

Installing the June 2010 DirectX package can resolve the issue because modern versions of Windows come pre-installed only with DirectX 11 and 12, intentionally omitting older DirectX 9 or 10 files and libraries to save space. Consequently, when a classic game like *Hotline Miami* or *Batman: Arkham City* launches, it searches the system for specific files from its era (such as d3dx9); unable to find them on a modern computer, the game simply crashes or throws an error. Manually running that 2010 installer does not replace your current DirectX version; instead, it adds the missing "dictionary" of legacy files to Windows 11, enabling the system to interpret the game's code so it can run normally.
