Game Screen off center during full screen mode?
I understand there are black bars above and below the actual game, I understand what widescreen is, lol. My problem seems to be that the is shifted to the left/bottom, to where I can barely see the "Exit Game" option on the starting menu because it gets cut off. Anyone else with a similar problem? Any fixes? Much thanks.

I have the exact same problem. I tried running it in windowed mode and also the original mode, and I tried many different resolutions as well. Makes the game unplayable because everytime I die I can't see the option how to restart and it's just annoying as all hell.
FYI: I don't know why I didn't mention this earlier, but I was attempting to run the 1920x1080 configuration, since my rig can go full HD.

This was to blame, at least in my situation. I switched it to the game's native and original 1290x720 configuration, and it runs as it should. It's a shame I can't go full HD, but the game looks perfectly fine/good, and the game is a blast. I hope this helps you.
I'm having the same issue. I'll try the native rez and see how it goes. Thanks for the tip.
thanks I'll give it a shot
It worked for me switching it to 1280 x 720, thanks :)

This is not the proper solution to this problem.

From the FAQ:
The screen is off to the side/zoomed in, I only see part of the whole screen.
Right-click on the game in your library -> Properties -> Local files -> Browse local files -> Right-click on "HotlineGL.exe" -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Check "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" and apply.

This worked for me. Except instead of Right-clicking on "HotlineGL.exe," I went to Games -> Trove -> Live -> and Right clicked on Trove.exe, etc.

This is the Hotline Miami forums, not Trove forums. So, yea, of course if you had a problem with Trove you would have had to do this with Trove.exe, and not HotlineGL.exe... :D

Glad I could help, though!
I don't see "Disable display scalings"

It changed on new versions of Windows. From the FAQ:
Right-click on the game in your library -> Properties -> Local files -> Browse local files -> Right-click on "HotlineGL.exe" -> Properties -> Compatibility.
  • Tick "Override high DPI scaling behavior" and set "Scaling performed by:" to "Application", and apply.
  • If this setting is not there (older versions of Windows): tick "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings", and apply.
compatibility isnt there
nvm i just found out i had to actually highlight it by clicking it im stupid
