[QUESTION] What the hell is "hydro-maning" ?
I've heard this term thrown around se-youtube for some time now, and the thing is , I don't have the faintest clue to what it possibly could be. All I know is, that it's some sort of exploit or unsavoury tactic in multiplayer.

Perhaps provide a link to where you've seen that used for Space Engineers.....

Maybe you mean Hydro-mining, which is mining with hydrogen thrusters.
Or maybe he's talking about using hydro thrusters to cut through armor because it does more damage than guns? I think LSG did a video on it, didn't call it that though so maybe ti's something completely different.
Yeah, it was mentioned in one of LSG's videos. I'll paste in the link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuqvhjA1OOE it's this one. So, your saying that you can mine with hydrogen engines?! I didn't know that voxels could be damaged with thrusters, thanks, I ll have to try this out. About that other thing, I fail to see what's so scummy about that, it's not an exploit like protecting your thrusters with hangar doors (as seen in this video btw), and on top of it all, it's pretty difficult to pull off, you ll have to be a very skilled pilot for this to work out.
Watched it and the only thing that sounds like "hydro" is at 4:04 and 9:39 and is just words without context and may be a term just for their group. (by the way, you should make time references in video links) I seldom like the audio in LSG because its a language barrier for me. I hear them say "blaster blocks" and I know they mean "blast door blocks".

Why don't you just ask them on one of their pages?

Hydromanning is sending out several players with jetpacks, hydro tanks, grinders, etc, and dodging turret fire while damaging the ship.
Hydroman, he flies with jetback.
Hydroman, he dodges all bullets.
Hydroman, he grinds down turrets.
Hydroman, Hydroman, Hydromaaan!

Speaking of the full moon, supposedly tonight, depending on where you are in the world you'll be able to see Jupiter and, if you're lucky, a small meteor shower as well. Or maybe it's Saturn....... Anyway, depends on where you are in the world and how clear the sky are. No telescope needed.
