Large Grid Ship and Thrusters
I've been building a large grid ship, and I wanted to get it up in the air a bit to test the gyros etc. It had 14 large-grid small hydrogen lifting thrusters, but that wouldn't even budge it. It has 3 landing gear, and a connector on the bottom. I made sure they were all off, they were.

So I added 4 more large-grid small hydrogen lifting thrusters, still won't even budge.

So I add 1 large-grid large hydrogen lifting thruster. Still won't budge an inch.

The numbers:
Ship mass: 1,047,203 kg
Gravity: 1G ≈ 9.81 m/s²
Force needed just to hover (mass × g): ≈ 10,273,061 N (about 10.27 MN)
Current total upward thrust:
18 × Large-Grid Small Hydrogen Thrusters = 18 × 1,080,000 N = 19,440,000 N
1 × Large-Grid Large Hydrogen Thruster = 7,200,000 N
Total: 26,640,000 N (26.64 MN)
That’s roughly 2.6× the force required to hover,

So what's going on here? You can walk around the ship and see it's not touching anything - not a wall or ceiling. The only points of contact are the 3 landing gear, and the connector.

The landing gear was locked. Even when they were red(turned off), they were still locked.
It’s a bug. I suppose this comes from the projector. It is best to build the blocks again at the very end by hand. Sometimes the game sets the landing gear to "auto-lock" even when the block is off. As I recall, I managed to work around it by doing the following:

- turn off power, batteries, and all energy sources
- shut down the ship using the Y key
- restart the game (or save and reload)
All I had to do was turn the blocks back on, then unlock them. It kind of makes sense, the magnetic plate can be "magnetized", and with the power off they stay that way until you manually "demagnetize" them. Eh, it's a game... Thanks though, I was going around in circles trying figure it out!
actually the gear being locked when off is not a bug, it is as intended
