Programmable Block Not Working?
I've read several threads posted after the update and while I'm not experiencing most of what I've been reading, I AM having trouble with Programmable Blocks. Simply put, my Prog. Blocks refuse to accept any scripts. I'm on a vanilla map, Creative mode (as a test bed), and no matter what I do, my Prog. Blocks will not accept scripts of any kind.

Is anyone else having this issue and are there any known fixes for it?

You may need to clarify that more. If the buttons are not working, try holding left-mouse and pressing right. It's been an on/off problem for a good forever.

you have the button to add scripts, you might not have scripts enabled in the save.

I was just going to ask that.
Check the world settings and make sure that the tick-box labeled 'Allow Scripting' is checked.
It's not checked by default, even in creative worlds. You have to turn it on yourself.
Scripts are checked and the specific issue is with the Browse Scripts button. I click it and everything freezes. After more than a minute's wait, still nothing and I have to Esc out of the function. No issues on the same map the day before the Update.

I have the same problem. I restarted a new world without any mods ( thinking that the cause of the problem would be some Mods ), but it still doesn't work. 🤬🤬

This is not a Space Engineers problem, it is a Steam workshop server problem, and there's not much you can do about it other than wait for Steam to fix it and avoid looking at or for mods in the meantime.

You are absolutely wrong, the problem is that you cannot interact with the Programmable Block. No matter which button I press, the screen freezes for a few minutes; this happens before activating a script or when searching the Workshop.
This is a SE issue, since the Programmable Block is a standard SE block and not a Mod.
Yes, but the the script is retrieved from the Steam workshop. If somehow the connection with Steam isn't working, it is looking for the scripts you subscribed to, but hanging because Steam might not be replying. Either your internet/network connection is blocked, or the interface with the Steam app (or whatever is behind it). Best is to narrow it down to that first.
Upload your world here or to the Keen support site. So others can check if it is a local issue (PB works for others in that world), Or if it is a problem with that particular world (settings or grid power).

So I repeat to myself once again:
I started a new world without Mods, I built a Programmable Block, I go to EDIT, and now there are four buttons: OK - Check Code - Help - Browse Scripts:

if I press Ok the screen freezes,
if press Check Code the screen freezes, etc. and all this without having downloaded any scripts from the Workshop.

The Programmable Block has a bug, and here is what I think.

I'll try this myself sometime today and report back if nobody else does.

Did you try what I suggested as response #1 on this thread? I've seen this on-and-off for the last few years, almost always the solution I posted helps.
haven't had issues, but i STILL randomly have task blocks corrutpt and be utterly useless for following a path. (been an issue since they were introduced) vanilla/modded it does not matter. only way to fix is to completely cut them off and start from scratch with a new block. scripts even, OLD drone/miner ones? never gone to crap like these "stock" blocks do at random.
Just delete those few hundred mods and scripts that you haven't used for the last few months. It will start working normally again.
