Ah, I only read Hexx' message below now. I have Dense Core level 5, Starting Size upgrade maxed at level 50 and Mega Mouth at level 5 and I am able to swallow the big plane. Mission accomplished.

Ah yes, I just asked a question about that. I'm really far in and still cannot eat the biggest plane. Annoying. But, it does keep me going, so far ...

Really fun and good implementation of this type of game! It looks really great, plays fluently and the progress felt just right as well. I have one question and one suggestion, I'm pretty far in with a few collapses and lots of upgrades, but I still am not able to consume the biggest plane in the airport. Is that deliberate or is that the final incentive to keep going?

And one suggestion: What would make it visually even more attractive is that every object actually has physics so it bounces against the edge of the hole, which forces you to wiggle a bit to let tall items fall in. Having item physics interacting with each other might be too messy though.

Ahhhh right, I expected the backpack to be on my back anbd that when I die, the backpack with the ore is transported back there or something. Wasn't aware that I deliberately have to store it in there. Makes it less useful, but it does save a trip to the forge indeed.

Hm, I did delete cached data recently, but only for the last 15 minutes, I played the game before that. Perhaps something happened there. Bummer. Thanks for your extensive explanation!

Very nice! Plays quite fluently and it's quite an original concept. Cool!

Pretty cool game! What's up with the backpack though? I unlocked it, it popped up next to the fire when I died, but pressing 'E' next to it does nothing.

Hey, my save game is gone, should that be?

After playing a few days, I think the game loop gets a bit boring. It looks really polished, plays really well and I'm still having fun because of that, but it really lacks some sense of progression currently.

Ok just to double check: Is every attempt added to the leaderboard or only your personal best? If the latter, it might work and I just misunderstood :-)

Leaderboard works better now, but not completely, not all games seem to be registered. I did change my name to SwoopiE accidentally, that one registered. After that I updated to Swoopie again, that one did not register, see screenshots.

Wow, you weren't kidding when saying it will be fixed today :-) Nice, thanks, will continue playing. Parlez-vous Français of Nederlands? :-)

Nice demo. Good atmosphere. I like the gameplay.

I feel like I could've opened the first door without finding the hints, but that's not possible, game-wise. That might be an improvement to make.

Found the aiming a bit yanky and whenever there's a new creature / scene or sound loaded the game freezes for a moment, taking you out of the flow.

The story is a bit ... meh ... could be more fleshed out and more ... impactful. I found the ending completely random and totally out-of-character for the game. A little bit too much of  "say what now?".

Nice game! Found a few bugs. The powerups don't seem to have effect all the time. Or maybe it's too subtle. And, the level counter doesn't work. I got stuck at Wave 18, while my end screen said highest level 8, but I definitely progressed further than wave 8. My score was 14947.

Ok, so, no servers are up and running apparently and I can't do anything ...

Hey, been playing for a few days, it's fun! Sound output is broken with the last update though :-( Lot less fun to play it without sound. Tried switching options on and off, doesn't work. Playing on Chrome on Win11.

One improvement suggestion: Whenever you keep any button pressed, after selecting a powerup, you have to repress whatever button you were holding, would be better to keep the keypress active, so you start moving again right after you got the powerup.

Oh, and the full leaderboard (after clicking it) doesn't work, it says "No leaderboards available for this game". Aaaand, I had a time of 4 minute something, but I didn't show up in the in-game leaderboard, at least not with my chosen nickname, perhaps that's not updated and I'm still Survivor#xxxx on the leaderboard.

Yeah, I know it happens when games are updated, but I was disappointed indeed. But I have progressed quite far again and am keeping an export of my savegame while I'm playing your game :-)

But I have to admit, I'm having enough fun to warrant playing again, apparently ;-)

Ugh :-( Lost my savegame with this last update :-( That sucks, because after grinding quite a bit, I'm not prepared to start all over again, bummer.

No comments at all yet?? It's such a nice game! The incremental feel is nice, although I get hooked quite easily ;-) Love the sound design. One point of attention is the cluttered upgrade tree, it is a bit off-putting to scan through everything that is possible. Perhaps leaving more space in between all upgrades and the branches might ease the strain a bit.

Yeah, works now and it's really nice! Thanks for the fix!

The web version is unplayable, it freezes directly after starting a new game ... pity, I want to play in-browser, too much hassle to download and install etc ...

Froze first try indeed, now not able to restart it after a refresh ...

Pretty sweet and short! Original concept, begs for more gameplay :-) Mining and such.

Very nice! Simple concept, but very well executed. What does Meow do btw? Apart from sending cuteness?

Dude, just let it go. Using free sprites isn't necessarily lazy if you primarily want to focus on the gameplay. It's all about priorities.

The dev of that game didn't create those images either, they are made freely available by the original artist. So although it looks sketchy, it really isn't.

Yep, can definitely feel that. It feels almost do-able now, still not my type of game ;-)

Perhaps to make it easier you can let a color stay still as soon as you gathered all of the same color in the right area?
Or perhaps make them move only when you touch hem with the mouse cursor?

Well executed game, looks and plays great! But the whole concept is utterly annoying. Admittedly I'm just not fast enough. But, can't they just sit the f*ck DOWN!!! ;-) But no, not for me, this type of game. Too annoying that they keep moving.

This really was an awesome game with a very original concept. The art style is also perfect, the way the controls work. And then all the different elements, the time management, the scary nuclear stuff, inventory management, the fishing technique, upgrades, the ending.

You struck gold with this concept man! Would love to see an extended version of this game, more powerups, more mechanics, merging of fish in inventory for instance, more things to do in the shop area, stuff to unlock, man, the possibilities are endless!

If I sound overly enthusiastic, I DON'T CARE! This really is a cool concept.

Found a bug in the latest version. When starting a standard new game with the Adventurer you get the Daily Dungeon timer as well. When doing that with the Aristocrat you get INVALID on that spot on the screen and with the Ranger and Warrior you also get the timer. Didn't test the others.

I am having a lot of fun with your game, so thank you for that :-) However there's one small annoyance I want to mention.

I hardly ever like games being translated to my own language, I'd rather keep it in English. However, you switch language at the start automatically. I'd get rid of that and make it optional. Additionally, when I go to the settings before your language files are loaded (I assume) the language selection remains empty and I have to refresh the page to make it work again.

Really nice! Cool concept, nice setting, plays well. A bit awkward at first, but gets better after a few upgrades. Well done!

Really like the idea, the visuals, the audio, the way it plays, I'm just not 'cut out' for these type of games ...

Awesome, thanks for confirming, I feel a bit less unqualified now ;-) I find myself restarting frequently at the start, whereas as you progress further, it becomes more deductive, like you said indeed.

One generic question, is there always a way to do a next move with reasoning (which I frequently don't see) or do you actually have to gamble sometimes?

Also, I've beaten the last level (I think?) with the adventurer. It was the level where the popup about scrolling first appeared. Is that the last level? Because after that the 'Load Game' button was gone.

Also, the shop is not available after that run ends?

Didn't encounter or read about the Balrog bug, but it might be that I flagged it as '200' early game (when it was still at 20 health), but I'm not entirely sure.

Ah, right, thanks for the answer! And I indeed agree with you, it's fun to figure out all those interactions yourself. Some of them I already figured out indeed, which gives you a nice "aha!" moment :-)

A different question btw, putting it here to make it easier to not spoil it for others. But why can't I kill the Elemental here? It gives the 'error beep' when I click it.

No worries, it's my own problem 😉 But it does mean I haven't played your game.
