I know that the show is considered canon by all. But there is so much more in whoverse. What do you guys use as canon for your muse? The books, the Big Finish plays, the comics? Are there facts that you've culled from other places?
Are there pieces of canon that you like for entertainment, but reject in terms of background for your muse?

I rely heavily on the Big Finish Audios. I use things like Hex and Benny as companions (more Hex than Benny) and use the events that take place as inspiration for prompts. I do not like the NA books, because in my mind Ace stays with the Doctor. She doesn't storm off and leave him and become poly carbid armor wearing Ace. Torchwood does exist in my opinion, because the events of Tooth and Claw would have altered history.
My favorite audio adventure is Death Comes to Time, but is so completely changes things that I won't use it as part of my muses canon.
So what about all of you?

I've come to realize that I don't think there is a single companion that Suzie would ever get along with. But interestingly, I think she'd adore the Doctor if she ever met the guy. How does that figure? I've been told she and Turlough might get along. XD Oh boy, wouldn't THAT be a team.
'Course, I only say that because of this--completely different RP--and it got me thinking. And I just found the thought vaguely amusing.

There were probably worse ways to spend a weekend, and the Doctor yawned a bit, glancing out over the rather pretty cityscape of France before him. Odd, that was. He could still pin Paris as a location to a companion in particular, just as he could pin Croyden and Brisbane did. And now, a small cafe in the middle of the busy Parisian streets reminded him of a certain time, a certain person, and he couldn't help but smile, just a bit. There was that, at least.
He took a sip of his tea and eyed one of the chips on his plate a bit warily. He wished he'd had Rose there to explain the vinegar, she was always rather good at explaining silly human things like condiments when he was confused.
He shrugged, taking a bite and then glancing at the paper. Neo-Nazism in the French presidency again. Maybe he should've vacationed elsewhere.
OOC: Anyone who would like to have their pup just arrive and meet up with other pups for tea and chips---hop on in! =)
