I've hardly been able to remember any of my dreams, recently. This was the first in...probably a month. Odd.
My brother and I were in the kitchen at home, talking about something, when we saw one of our tractors roll by with no one driving it. Another tractor followed close behind, my father at the wheel. My brother said that he must have lost control of the first tractor and jumped on the second to try and catch it. This was confirmed when, seconds later, the two tractors passed by again. Dad jumped from one to the other--he didn't quite make it, though. His left foot hit the ground, and he had to haul himself onto the tractor using the steering wheel. I thought, "I hope his foot didn't hit the mower deck." He stopped the tractor, turned it off, and jumped down to sit on the grass.
My brother and I were laughing at him; then one of us noticed that his foot was an absolute mess. It *had* caught on the blades of the mower. My brother started looking for first aid things, and I ran out to Dad. He asked me to run out to the store and buy paper clips. I had some in my room, so I ran and got those instead. I brought them down, and asked if he wanted anything else. He seemed irritated with me. I went inside to look for gauze and medical tape; my brother was still rifling through drawers and cabinets. I couldn't find anything but a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, and was about to bring that out when I saw that a crowd had gathered around Dad. My brother was out there, helping him finish bandaging the foot. The kid had taken care of just about everything by himself. I started to say something; Dad just handed me the paper clips and hobbled off toward the house.
Any thoughts?
