Teal'c Ficathon

Title: The Sleeping Warrior
Author: Annerb
Summary: Teal’c thought the hardest battles already won, but instead, the real struggles are just beginning. The Jaffa nation after the defeat of the Goa’uld.
Season: Future, post season eight AU.
Categorization: Drama, action, established Teal’c/Ishta, passing mention of Teal’c/Drey’auc and Teal’c/Shau’nac.
Ratings/Warnings: PG-13
A/N: Written for the tealc_ficathon for lovellama with the prompts ‘action, het, and intrigue’. Didn’t turn out quite as het-centric as planned, but I hope you still like it! Major apologies to both lovellama and graculus for the inexcusable lateness of this entry. Special thanks to katcorvi and aurora_novarum for invaluable beta help.

Three things you DO NOT WANT in your story: relationships (Teal'c mentioning a past relationship is fine), any of the guys in a leading role I'd like this to be Teal'c & woman friendship-story

Thanks to aurora_novarum and pepper_field  for the fantastic beta as always.

My apologies to ryf for the lateness of this!

Title: The Care and Handling of Extraterrestrial Coworkers
Author: geonncannnon
Recipient: prehistoric_sea
Rating: PG or less
Category: Humor, character study
Word Count: 1500
Spoilers: The Enemy Within, Cold Lazarus
Prompts: Teal'c leading a class about how to interact with non-Tau'ri people/beings for people coming into the Stargate program, Cam/Teal'c shippiness, and Teal'c POV. I wasn't able to get much of the Cam/Teal'c into it, but I did my best :D
Summary: Even ten years in, they have to deal with the newbies.

Thanks to everyone who's posted their story for the 2009 tealc_ficathon - thanks also to those writers who've contacted me to say their story is on the way but will be a little late... If you've committed to write a story for someone and haven't either posted or let me know there'll be a delay, please contact me as soon as possible.

In the meantime, if you're reading this post then please take the time to leave feedback on those stories that have already been posted and keep an eye out for more good stuff to come! :)

Title: Beauty in Skill
Author: Fig Newton (sg_fignewton)
Recipient: sela21k
Prompt: Teal'c and Bra'tac, the team learning something about Teal'c, and something in Teal'c's past that will affect his future on the team.
Summary: The Goa'uld have always prized style over substance, but Teal'c finds beauty elsewhere. (Or "Why most Jaffa suffer from the Stormtrooper Effect, and why Bra'tac is awesome.")

Rated PG. ~1,200 words. Set in very early S1 - definitely before Bloodlines.

Thank you, Random, for your usual impeccable beta skills and your extra-speedy response.

Beauty in Skill

Title: Outside Looking In
Author: sela21k

Recipient: maranya14
Main Characters: Teal'c, Rodney McKay
Rating: G
Category: Gen
Spoilers: None

I have the pleasure of writing for maranya14

Her requests are:

  - Humor

 - Teal'c fighting

 - Teal'c interacting with humans - need not be restricted to SG-1, part of the Stargate program, or  even Earth humans.

Three things you DO NOT WANT in your story: Open to pretty much anything

Maranya: You really freed me up when you said the story need not be restricted to SG-1. It helped me to take the leap across galaxies. Although I did not get Teal'c fighting in a traditional sense, in a way he is fighting a type of battle in this piece.  I apologize for not having it ready for you yesterday. I hope you like it.

( This could not continue.Collapse )

Title: Warriors Playing at Gentlemen
Author: lovellama, aka Josephine
Recipiant: astrogirl2
Main Characters: Teal'c, Jack
Rating: G
Category: Gen
Spoilers: Window of Opportunity, Caddyshack
Summary: Jack introduces Teal'c to a game he's put his own spin on.
Word Count: 1,583
Prompts: Teal'c and Jack engaging in some ordinary human activity, with humor and snark, OR something involving Bra'tac…

( I am still unable to comprehend the appeal of this particular diversion, O'Neill.Collapse )
