A PrizePicks promo code, entered when you create your account, unlocks the app’s new-user welcome offers: as of October 2026 that means $150 in Bonus Lineups if your first $5 Player Picks lineup wins, plus a separate $25 in Bonus Packs for its card-pack game. The code only counts at signup, and the offer you see depends on the state you are standing in.
PrizePicks is the largest daily fantasy “pick’em” app in the US, where you choose whether athletes will go over or under a projected stat line. In 2026 it also runs PrizePicks Predict, a federally registered unit that offers sports and real-world event contracts. That matters for codes, because the welcome bonus and the referral reward apply to the fantasy side, not to the prediction market products.
This guide covers the official terms we checked on the PrizePicks site and help centre, how to enter a code, which states are excluded, and how the referral programme works for existing users.
New users: $150 in Bonus Lineups if first $5+ Player Picks lineup wins within 14 days, plus $25 in Bonus Packs after a $10 first deposit and $5 pack purchase.
Enter it in Promo code field on the PrizePicks signup screen. US only; 18+ (19+ AL, CO; 21+ AZ, IL, MA, VA); Player Picks unavailable in CT, HI, ID, IA, LA, MD, MI, MS, MT, NV, NJ, OH, PA, WA; ID and geolocation required. Last checked October 27, 2026.

What the PrizePicks Promo Code Gives You
PrizePicks currently bundles two welcome offers behind a single signup code. Both are for new users only, and the official PrizePicks promo code page lists them as available now, with no end date. The table summarises the terms as published in October 2026.
| Offer | What you do | What you get | Key conditions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Picks welcome bonus | Submit a first Player Picks or Player + Team lineup with an entry fee of at least $5 | $150 in Bonus Lineups if that lineup wins | Must settle as a win within 14 days of registration; claim within 7 days of the win; use within 7 days of claiming |
| Packs welcome bonus | Make a first deposit of at least $10, then buy a first pack priced at $5 or more | Five $5 Bonus Packs ($25 total) | Each Bonus Pack carries its own expiry date in the Rewards tab |
The Picks bonus is conditional. If your first $5 lineup loses, you do not receive the $150. Lineups paid for with Bonus Balance or Bonus Lineup entries also don’t count as your qualifying lineup, so the first entry has to use real funds. The home page metadata on the PrizePicks site still mentions an older “Play $5, Get $50” line, but the live promo page describes the $150 win-based offer, so treat the promo page as the current version.
Bonus Packs are part of PrizePicks Packs, a collectible card product that the company says is available in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. That makes the Packs half of the welcome offer the more widely available of the two.
How to Use a PrizePicks Code, Step by Step
The only moment a PrizePicks promo code works is during account creation. Here is the sequence.
- Download the PrizePicks app from the App Store or Google Play, or start signup on the website.
- Start registration with your name, email, date of birth and home address. PrizePicks checks age against the government ID you provide.
- Find the promo code field on the signup screen and enter the code shown in the code box above, or a friend’s referral code if someone invited you. Check the spelling before you continue.
- Verify your identity and allow location access. The app needs to confirm you are physically in an eligible state each time you play.
- Deposit. For the Packs bonus the first deposit must be at least $10. For the Picks bonus, fund at least a $5 entry.
- Place your first lineup as a Player Picks or Player + Team lineup of $5 or more, or buy your first pack of $5 or more.
- Claim the reward in the Rewards tab once it appears, and watch the expiry timers.
If you skip the code field, PrizePicks’ terms give no route to add a welcome code later. Existing accounts can only take part in ongoing promotions shown in the app’s promos area.
How the PrizePicks Referral Program Works
PrizePicks gives every account a personal referral code, found in the Rewards tab of the app. Under the terms on its referral bonus page, the friend must create a brand-new account, enter your code at signup and make a qualifying deposit. When that happens, you as the referrer earn Bonus Balance that can be used on Player Picks.
- Amount: PrizePicks says reward values vary by location and by the referral offer active in your account, so it does not publish a single figure.
- Cap: The referral bonus can be earned up to 10 times in a 30-day period.
- Exclusions: Residents of states without Player Picks cannot receive the bonus, and it cannot be combined with other rewards.
The referral reward is separate from the friend’s welcome bonus. A new user who signs up with a referral code still goes through the normal new-user flow, but PrizePicks does not publish a guarantee that both offers stack in every state.
Eligibility, Restrictions and Fine Print
PrizePicks is not one product but several, and each one has its own state map. As of October 2026, the PrizePicks help centre lists the following.
- Player Picks (the classic pick’em game): 36 states plus D.C. It is not available in Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania or Washington.
- Team Picks (sports event contracts through PrizePicks Predict): a shorter list. It is not offered in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Washington or D.C.
- Culture Picks (non-sports event contracts): the widest of the three, covering more than 40 states, but not Arizona, Nevada or Washington, among others.
- PrizePicks Packs: all 50 states plus D.C.
Age limits also differ. For Player Picks you must be 21 in Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts and Virginia, 19 in Alabama and Colorado, and 18 elsewhere. Culture Picks adds Iowa and Louisiana to the 21+ list. PrizePicks verifies identity at signup and uses geolocation, so a VPN or a trip across a state line changes what you can play. The help centre’s own state lists contain small inconsistencies in their headline counts, so check the in-app list for your exact location before you deposit.
How PrizePicks Works, and What It’s Good and Bad At
In Player Picks you select between two and six player projections and decide “more” or “less” on each, then choose Power Play (all picks must hit, bigger payout) or Flex Play (smaller payout, some misses allowed). You play against fixed payout tables rather than against other users.
PrizePicks Predict is a different structure. The company describes PrizePicks Predict as a registered FCM (a federally registered futures broker) offering Team Picks and Culture Picks as event contracts under the oversight of the CFTC, the federal derivatives regulator. You need a separate PrizePicks Predict account to use them, and they behave more like the exchange contracts explained in our prediction market promo codes hub than like fantasy lineups. Culture Picks covers questions such as entertainment and politics; for a sense of how those markets move, see our coverage of the next James Bond odds.
Good at: a simple interface, wide state coverage for Packs and Culture Picks, frequent in-app promos such as Profit Boosts and Guarantee Picks.
Weaker at: Player Picks is missing from several large states, the welcome bonus only pays if your first lineup wins, and bonus timers are short.
PrizePicks vs Alternatives
Most rivals use a similar “code at signup” model, but the offer shape varies a lot.
- Underdog runs a comparable pick’em app with an instant bonus after a $5 first entry and its own CFTC-regulated exchange.
- Sleeper pairs free fantasy leagues with Player Picks and uses a first-deposit match instead of a win-based bonus.
- Betr offers “No Sweat” tokens that refund losing entries in Betr Bucks.
- Kalshi is a pure prediction exchange if event contracts are what you are after.
Is PrizePicks Safe and Legit?
PrizePicks has operated since 2018 and is one of the most widely used fantasy apps in the US. Its fantasy games run under state rules for daily fantasy sports, which is why the state list changes when a legislature or regulator acts. Its event contracts run through PrizePicks Predict, which the company says is a CFTC-registered FCM. Identity checks and geolocation are mandatory, and withdrawals go back to verified payment methods. None of that removes the risk of losing your entry fees; it only means the operator is subject to outside supervision.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a PrizePicks promo code for existing users?
Welcome codes are for new accounts only. Existing users get recurring in-app promotions, such as Profit Boosts and Guarantee Picks, and can earn Bonus Balance by sharing their own referral code from the Rewards tab.
Can I add a PrizePicks promo code after signing up?
PrizePicks tells new users to enter the code in the promo code field during signup. Its published terms offer no way to attach a welcome code to an account that already exists, so enter it before you finish registration.
What is the difference between a PrizePicks referral code, promo code and invite code?
In practice they go in the same field. A promo code ties your signup to a welcome offer; a referral or invite code is another user’s personal code, which also credits that user with a reward once you make a qualifying deposit.
Does the welcome bonus work on Team Picks or Culture Picks?
No. PrizePicks’ welcome bonus requires a Player Picks or Player + Team lineup, and its referral Bonus Balance is for Player Picks only. Event contracts through PrizePicks Predict sit outside those offers.
What happens if my first $5 lineup loses?
You do not receive the $150 in Bonus Lineups. The offer requires your first eligible lineup to settle as a win within 14 days of creating your account. The separate Packs bonus does not depend on a win.
Which states can’t use PrizePicks?
Packs work in every state. Player Picks is unavailable in Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington, as of October 2026.
