Fun dreams

So I had a dream that Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy were a pair of Victorian criminals who had been freed from prison in order to take up a magical quest. They never sounded like the their characters or had the same costumes but they acted like them. I saw two episodes of this show, meaning I saw the opening twice. The warden (who looked like Donald Sutherland) who let them out had been ordered to give them a device when he let them out, unknown to him the device opened and gave them a golden key (he thought the device was just a tool, not really valuable, or else he would have kept it). The key is really the main point of the story.

The first episode seems to fade in and out of a full Victorian London or Paris set, with dampness and darkness and fog)and the interiors of the English Village at the Enchanted Forest theme park.

I'm some street urchin thief kid who gets caught up with them and ends up being sort of a valet. Carrying parcels and opening doors. The whole time the two ladies are in these gigantic skirts that remind me of the Moulin Rouge. Speaking of which, at the end of the first episode they find a friend at a traveling circus and leave town with him. Only to find out that the wagon they've boarded is actually part of this huge inflatable contraption that then flies up and away from the city. They circus' airship is in fact shaped like a gigantic brain, and it is odd that there is no hanging gondola and no visible propellers.

The next episode opens with me creeping out a window and finding myself on a lobe of the brain utterly confused. I had thought that we'd landed on a rooftop. It turns out that the room everyone had collapsed in after a night of drinking was near the top of the brain balloon. While on the lobe I spot a fair just setting up and the leader of the circus decides to touch down and set up in an open spot and take advantage of the crowds that will be coming later. The ladies decide that this would be a good place to get information on their quest and I am basically left to my own devices.

I find that many of the booths next to us have rows of chairs facing a curtain and lectern on one side. Each of them with slightly different wooden folding chairs and different colored curtains. It seems that this is a Sunday and these booths are for church goers to come and here the different preachers. They can feel less guilty about coming to the fair and sometimes the church can win some people over from their neighbors. In this section there is one 30x20 booth with no chairs, instead it has wooden blocks on posts and hung wooden dummies.

I investigate to find that it is a pistol range smack in the middle of the church booths. Some of the other booth people are there grousing and I step forward to confront the cavalrymen looking men about it and they argue that safety is not their concern. We should not complain because the 2ftx2ft wooden blocks at head height will stop the bullets from their guns and the people visiting the booth will all be told to aim for the dummy's head. I argue that their patrons will not all have such good aim while he demonstrates his statement. I have to shout over his gunfire but to his credit all three of his shots sink into the wooden block and do not pass through.

To disprove my claims he grabs one of the circus folk (modeled after a dimwitted coworker of mine) and reveals him to be his son. None of us question the officer, who looks like Malcolm McDowel at this point, when he claims the other to be his son. Though the circus worker is actually a Pakistani guy with really dark skin. The officer sets up a dummy and slaps a pistols into our man's hand with a comment like "do me proud boy." or "show me that you aren't a complete embarrassment to the family." I whisper some words of encouragement to him that if he helps us we'll all treat him like a real part of the circus family and stop the teasing and cold shouldering he got during the partying last night.

I awake before his shot is fired.
