Welcome to 
textless_awards, a weekly multi-fandom (and non-fandom) hush icontest. Every week, you will be given a picture or theme. Then, you make an icon that has to do with that challenge. The only qualification for this contest is that text is not allowed in any form.
H A L L O F F A M E
The Hall of Fame is for icon makers who take first place three weeks in a row.
After winning for three weeks, they will receive a special banner with the winning icons,
and then will take two weeks off to give others a chance. ;D

S U B M I S S I O N
You submit by leaving a comment on the challenge post with your icon. Comments on challenge posts will be screened, so only you and the original poster will see them.
Please use the following format for submission. Include the icon and url. Your submission should look something like this:

1.One Two icons per contestant per challenge (unless otherwise stated).
2. Your icon can not include text...that includes tiny text, text brushes, or brushes that could be construed as text of any sort. This also includes:
- "stitches"
- "X" brushes
- "&" and "+"
3. If you submit an icon, it must be your own personal work.
NOTE: Do NOT use someone else's icons, follow tutorials too closely, or use bases that require credit (it's generally better to make your own).
4. All icons must meet livejournal standards - under 40kb and 100x100px in GIF, JPG, or PNG format.
5. Icons must be remotely hosted on a site that allows direct linking (you can use a free Photobucket account).
6. Keep icons anonymous throughout the run of the contest (don’t post them elsewhere before voting is over). You may not submit an icon that you have used or posted elsewhere.
7. Mods are allowed to enter challenges, but only challenges run by another mod.
V O T I N G
Voting occurs in response to the voting post via a poll or comments. You must be a member of the community to vote. All members of the community are allowed to vote regardless of whether they submitted an icon. Votes are weighted, so make sure to vote in proper rank. You may not vote for your own icon. Also, there is no voting for any icon twice - this includes the special category, if there is one. (I.e., all icons that you've voted for must be different.)
Anonymous voting is not permitted.
Voting
1-3 entries: 1st Place Winner
4-6 entries: 1st and 2nd Place
7-9 entries: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place
10 entries and up: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, and special category like Best Use of Color or Most Original Design.
**Mod's Choice may be included with results if there are 4 icons or more in the voting; the Mod's Choice can be awarded to any icon, if it places or not.**
D I S Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S
A moderator will attempt to warn you if your icon (or vote) is submitted improperly or if you break any of the rules; however, the moderators reserve the right to disqualify your icon (or vote) without warning if it is improperly submitted or you break any of the rules.
