Description:
A Watchmen Fanfic Rec Comm

This is a Watchmen fanfiction recommendation community. Here you can find recs to all kinds of fiction within the fandom that community members feel are of high quality. (Wellllll all right this is still in dev stages so at the moment there's nothing here, but that will eventually be a true statement.)

If you would like to recommend a story to the community, simply join the comm and post your rec using the format below:

Title: (Link here to the actual work)
Author: (Link here to the author's archive)
Author's summary:
Characters/pairings:
Genre(s): (As many as are appropriate from the list below)
Length: (Approximate word count, no need to be exact)
Rating:
Warnings: (Either the author's or yours)

Reason for rec: (Does not need to be a novel, but please do try to communicate why you liked the fic and why you think others will as well.)

(lj-cut to a selected snippet from the work)

List of possible genres(not an exhaustive list, but a place to start): Action/adventure, Drama, Crime, Suspense, Horror, Mystery, Supernatural, Tragedy, Hurt/Comfort, Angst, Introspection, Character Study, General, Het, Slash, Femslash, PWP/Smut, Kink, Romance, Fluff, Friendship, *AU - Major, *AU - Minor, Crossover, Drabble, Missing Scene, Parody/Satire, Humor, Vignette.

*AUs. Major indicates a completely removed setting and circumstances - only the characters themselves remain. Minor indicates a by and large canonical setting with one or two elements added, removed, or tweaked. Please try to be accurate in this categorization as these are two very different genres and we want people to be able to find the things they like.

Once your rec has been approved, it will post. We do not screen recommendations based on fic content; only on rough adherence to the format above and on an objective judgment of the rec'ed fiction's quality level - please do not rec stories that are riddled with spelling errors, lack punctuation, ARE IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, or are single long run-on paragraphs. This is not an all-inclusive list of reasons for a rec to be rejected, but these are definite no-nos. Blatant OOCness to the point of it being beyond interpretation and into the realm of 'a five-year-old could tell that this is wrong' is another likely snag point. Mods will use their judgment.

* Please DO tag recs with author, character(s), pairing(s) if applicable, genre(s), and rating.
* Please DO include snippets, but keep them short, and put them behind cuts.
* Please DO label rating accordingly and give any relevant warnings in the warning section even if the author did not include them, and keep the content(and snippet) to a PG-13 level even if the fic being recced is of a higher rating; like the MPAA, this preview must be approved for (most) audiences.
* Please DO limit yourself to one rec per post; that way the tags will allow people to find individual recs easily.
* Please DO NOT harass, flame, or otherwise be a dick to people for their choice in fiction recs. We all have different tastes and the idea here is quality, not 'only the kind of stories I like to read.'
* PLEASE DO NOT REC YOUR OWN FICTION. This is the only kick-worthy violation in the policy, and the only one I'm likely to be hard-assed about. Again, DO NOT REC YOUR OWN FICTION.
