The Longer Version

I'm a programmer / manager / designer / synthesist who loves talking to people and spending hours tinkering with things. I read reasonably indiscriminately whenever time permits though time rarely permits as I am normally out doing things more frequently than I am home. I give a good massage and can bake and cook when inspired.

I use LJ primarily to answer the questions that my friends haven't or wouldn't think to ask. That and a place to be introspective. I also have a second journal that I use to keep all of my fencing related discussion. If you are interested check out spadaccino.

If you want to know more about my journal I recommend you check out the recommended reading. And for those of you with Sooper Sekrit Cleerance, you can find my contact info (AKA my 'Stalk Me' page)in my journal.

A Really Good Quote...

"People understand instinctively that the best way for computer programs to communicate with each other is for each of them to be strict in what they emit, and liberal in what they accept. The odd thing is that people themselves are not willing to be strict in how they speak and liberal in how they listen. You'd think that would also be obvious."

- Larry Wall, inventor of the Perl programming language.
