Finally got my car back after a month of various problems.

I just voted and I'm just jubilant. For the first time in my life, I voted for a presidential candidate that I wholeheartedly supported, this is my fourth presidential election.

The levee along the highway I use to get to work failed tonight and the highway is closed. Luckily, the mobile home park on the opposite side of the highway from the levee doesn't have to be evacuated yet like it did back in '93.

Slept through the 5.2 early this morning. Did feel the 4.5 aftershock though. I'm just glad they weren't on the New Madrid fault though.

After 4 days I finally have power again.

Meh, my little brother got me sick at my step-grandma's funeral. I'm feeling like crap and I have no appetite. I hate being sick. But only half an hour until new Project Runway.

So for Father's Day I told my dad I'd make him dinner. Yesterday, he and my stepmom didn't get back into town until close to 10 last night so I told him I'd just come over and make dinner for him today. I got back about an hour ago and I'm beat. Meh. Gonna go to bed soon.

My vacation officially starts today! I'm very happy about this. I've just been burnt out recently. Started watching Buffy season 1 today, planning to watch all of the seasons this week.

So I went into work this morning thinking everything would be good and all. But to my surprise, it's not even close to being good. It turns out that one of the section heads yesterday decided to leave early. For a fucking hair appointment. WTH?!?!? We were already short staffed, with our regional vice-president coming for a visit today, yet she decides that the most important thing to her is getting her hair done. Now I was off yesterday so I had no idea that this was happening. So I had to finish everything she didn't finish yesterday instead of working on my own projects. This just pissed me off today.

Watched two episodes of Veritas: The Quest tonight. The Wheel of Dharma and Angraal. This was close to the tenth time I've started watching The Wheel of Dharma, and I was finally made it though it. It was Vincent centric so it didn't really hold my interests. Meh.

Going to see X-men: The Last Stand tomorrow. Bracing for the worst. The reviews I've read for it haven't been that great, plus all of the character deaths that are supposed to be in it haven't made me really excited to see it like the previous two. Unless Rouge dies. If she dies, everything else should be okay. Unless Iceman and Pyro die too. I'll just have to wait til tomorrow.

Interesting.

So, I've never really liker John Danforth when he was a Senator for Missouri. On the other hand, I've never disliked him like I have Kit Bond or Jim Talent. So I found out today that he is against the proposed federal amendment to ban gay marriage. This impressed me. I'm not sure if he did this now because he's no longer in a political office, but it still impressed me.

Am dead now. Today was a complete bitch. Started at 9 this morning, finished at 6 this evening. It was raining until about 1 this afternoon. Moving shit in the rain is no fun, especially when it's covered in a tarp so it won't get wet. We ended up moving two sofas today. Thank the gods neither one was a sleeper sofa.

And I smell. Not only from the sweat soaking my shirt, but also from the Icy Hot I've rubbed on my muscles in the hopes I can move tomorrow. Not sure I'll be able to move tomorrow even with the Icy Hot. Not sure yet if I'm going to help tomorrow. Depends on how I feel.

So I'm helping some of my friends move this weekend. Started today around 2pm and finished today about 9pm, and today was the easy day. Tomorrow, we start at 9am and move the heavy furniture. Down three flights of stairs, then back up three flights of stairs. Thank gods we're going to have a Uhaul truck tomorrow. I'm already tired from today, I don't want to think about tomorrow.

So I had this crazy dream last night. Actually it was more like two dreams in one. Both parts were horror dreams like I was living out my life in the Alien and Dawn of the Dead universes fused together. The first part, Alien, I've had before. Although I did go further in the dream than I have in the past. It was the standard must get off the space station before the Alien kills all of us. As we got on an elevator to get off the station, the dream switched slightly.


The elevator switched into a movie theater type place. We were surrounded by zombies outside and couldn't get out. Somehow we were able to jettison ourselves off the space station and escape. Weird. Now I have to get ready for work. Blah.

iTunes so rocks. I just noticed that they're now offering parts of MMPR for download. Plus Mystic Force, but that's not as important as MMPR. Now iTunes just needs all eps of MMPR and a bulk discount for it.

So right now, Romano Prodi has a very thin victory over Silvio Berlusconi in the Italian elections, which I find highly amusing. Berlusconi has been sucking up to Pope Ratman a lot recently and has been one of Dubayuh's bitches for the past few years. He's demanding a recount, which we all know Dubayuh doesn't like, and ranting about voting irregularities. All of this goes to show being one of Dubayuh's bitches doesn't pay.
