I ordered diaper pail refills from Target.com this week. (Yes, I forgot to put it on my online to-do list, but it was something that needed doing. Our diaper pail liners -- the Diaper Dekor -- are sold only online, not in the stores.) To get to Target.com, I first clicked in to my eBates account and then clicked through to Target.
Just like that, I earned four percent of my purchase price back. ( Read more...Collapse ) And, if you refer people, you also get credit. In case any of you are interested in this, if you click on this link,

I also earn money online for charity -- incredibly easily, by doing web searches.
I do my searches through goodsearch. http://www.goodsearch.com It is powered through Yahoo. I don't win anything for me, but every search I do earns my chosen charity a penny. Since I do several searches a day, and other people are doing this, too, it adds up.
Stuff You Can Make
And this last one isn't really a tool per se...but it probably has directions for how to use them. :)
MoneySavingMom had a post this week that linked to a list -- with directions, and links -- of "100 things you can make yourself."
Crystal asked her readers to share their own lists of things they'd made off the list, and I thought I'd share mine here as well.
Now, I didn't say all of this stuff came out great, but I made it -- and the list didn't even include other things. I mean, where's the salad dressing entry?
I've visited a lot of blogs over the past few months as a result of carnivals like the Winter (and Fall) Giveaway carnivals hosted at http://rocksinmydryer.typepad.com and The Ultimate Blog Party from http://5minutesformom.com – and from some blog-hopping and such before that. Some are must-see sites for me on an almost-daily basis, others are occasional visits. (And for either one, I don't always have time to comment every time I stop by.) For a while now, I've been wanting to "round up" some of my site recommendations from these visits. So I'm doing that — in categories.
At the Handbook of Nature Study site, Barb posts gorgeous, gorgeous photographs of, well, nature - as seen through the lens of her home school/nature study experience. Which pretty much dictates that her blog is very seasonal in nature. (Even though, since she lives in California, the seasons she experiences are very different from mine!) Check out the mini "notebook" updates on her right sidebar for quick notes on nature things they may have seen that haven't yet made it into a blog post.
I think Lisa's seasonal experience is much closer to mine: she lives in Wisconsin (I'm in Minnesota. They're neighboring states, in case you flunked geography. :) ) That may be one reason I love looking at her photographs, many of which also focus on nature – although she takes pictures of pretty much everything. Including, sometimes, her one-year-old grandson (toddler-themed blogs also appeal to me). And, sometimes, she talks about being a cancer survivor.
More beautiful "northern" nature photography is found at Beyond the Fields We Know — this time, from Canada. On Thursday posts, it's frequently accompanied by a lovely poem. (She's another one with a ton of great pix in her portfolio: check the right sidebar.)
Waverly Fitzgerald's blog isn't updated as frequently as some others, but whenever it is, she has something to say about nature, plants and/or seasons.
Seasonal Delights Quarterly's blog is associated with a quarterly downloadable pdf magazine, which comes out seasonally and focuses on recipes, craft projects, book recommendations, fun and games (crossword puzzles!) and such which relate to that season. The blog is "extras" of the same type of thing: recipes, craft projects, etc.
Finally (for today), Forrest Zoo's blog doesn't exactly fit into the "pretty" category, but he is very interested in nature (which makes it fall into my "seasonal" category). He's the son of Joy in the Morning Light — and who knew how much you could learn about frogs?
Most participants in Frugal Friday, hosted at http://biblicalwomanhood.com/blog , are probably already familiar with most of these sites -- but just in case there are some who aren’t – and because the frugal sites are an important part of my current Bloggy Roundup

Today's post focuses on "the pretty." One of the main "pretty" blogs I visit — to relax, sip a cup of tea, look at lovely pictures....is the host of the Gracious Hospital-i-tea Blog-a-Thon for which I've been posting.
Gracious Hospitality regularly posts lovely pictures, tea! discussions, and occasional gluten-free recipes (for those imaginary times in my head when I host family reunions and actually make elaborate recipes that my sister can eat).
Britt-Arnhild shares her beautiful photographs of a variety of things — she really has an eye for creating and/or capturing beauty — recipes, books, plants and flowers, her work with the church, her family life, her experiences of the seasons, and her travels – both within her "home spot" of Norway and elsewhere (lately, she's been in Rome. Talk about inspiring a wanderlust …)
How could Joy in the Morning Light, the host of the "Wildflowers in Winter" carnival, not be pretty? Her attitude of looking for flowers everywhere is a lovely one. She also is very in tune with the seasons, which appeals to me — and occasionally posts gluten-free recipes.
Hi, Thanks for commenting over at Offering Hospitality! I like the challenge of finding foods w/o allergens too. Makes the process a little more fun! -Crystal www.joshandcrystalprice.blogspot.com
I am not sure how it is possible that Nora is four, but it seems to have happened. I doubt that roller coasters will grow on me, since I have never liked them, ever since I was a kid. I much prefer…
She and Rachel can certainly have their roller coaster fun together, whether at MOA, Adventureland, or Valleyfair -- in the town nearby us, where the big roller coaster dominates the skyline, and…
It sounds like such fun! I can't believe that Nora is four! How is that possible? Maybe the coasters will grow on you or maybe Nora won't like them as much once the coasters are bigger. Glad it…
