Uns 10 anos atrás eu li uma fanfic brasileira que era extremamente longa e tinha duas partes, se chamava Tempestades Furiosas (Raging Storms) e era escrita por Vanny ou Vaany ou algo assim.

Durante a história, a autora sugeria muitas músicas românticas para ouvir durante a leitura (como Last Train Home — Ryan Star; Losing your memory — Ryan Star; e outras que também passavam na própria série)

Na história Elena e Damon estavam apaixonados, mas existia uma maldição que não permitia que eles ficassem juntos. E algumas forças do mal tavam sempre criando problemas entre eles. Lembro que uma criatura foi capaz de manipular a mente de Damon mesmo à distância (sem que ele percebesse) para fazê-lo partir o coração de Elena, dizendo coisas cruéis a ela. Ninguém sabia que ele estava sendo manipulado e, em algum momento, até seus pais apareceram para brigar com ele sobre ser malvado com Elena, já que os dois já tinham lutado tanto para ficarem juntos e agora ele estava jogando tudo fora. Basicamente ficaram todos intrigados e revoltados com as maldades "repentinas" do Damon.

Around 10 years ago I read a brazilia fanfiction that was extremely long and had two parts, it was called Tempestades Furiosas (Raging Storms) and it was written by Vanny or Vaany or something like that. During the story the author suggested lots of romantic songs to listen while reading (like Last Train Home — Ryan Star; Losing your memory — Ryan Star; and others)

In the story Elena and Damon were in love, but that was a curse that didn't allow them to be together. And some forces of evil were always creating problems between them. I remember that a creature was able to manipulate Damon's mind even by distance (without him noticing) in order to make him break Elena's heart. Nobody knew that he was being manipulated and, at some point, even his parents appeared to discipline him about being mean with Elena, since they had already fought so hard to be together and now he was throwing all away.

After they discovered that Damon's mind was being manipulated by a blong and attractive vampire called Rafaella, they (Elena, Damon and Stefan's parents, Bonnie, Stefan, Caroline, Matt, Jeremy, Alaric, everybody...) were able to break the control Damon was suffering, but by then Damon had suffered a lot at the hands of the villans (I guess he was even kidnapped) and also Elena almost died with broken heart.
