The Unbroken Library

"Greetings traveller. My name is Daedalus Grey and you have come to The Unbroken Library. Many have quested, fought, and died for the vast knowledge and tales that lie before you. No one knows who created this magnificent place or when. No, not even I. I have been here since I was a young boy thirsty for knowledge. Now look at me. Heh, since I had so much before me I guess the thought of ever leaving never crossed my mind. I am now the keeper, translator, and local scribe. I have seen very few arrive since my first day here. Of the few who have arrived I have never seen any leave. Some I have never seen again... You see this library stretches through all of existence, it never ends... Every thing that has ever been written or will be written lies here. One could travel for centuries and never find an end to a bookshelf. Within these unbroken halls also lies all of the Tomes of Endless Thought. Though where they are I cannot tell you. I have only been able to explore a minor fraction of what these endless halls hold. Eh, I apologize I do tend to ramble. It has been so long since I have talked with someone. Well, enjoy your stay and do try not to get lost..."

Please do not post quizzes or advertising of any sort. Any personal entries should be placed in your own journal. This is not the proper place for debate or arguing. If you have a problem with someone on here please take that up somewhere else. Be respectful of all who are a part of this community and expect to be respected.

Some of the authors here may have certain requests about their writings. You will see that in the introductions below if they choose to introduce themselves. We have tried to place the beginnings of longer stories in the memories so that anyone wishing to find the beginning may do so. Please note that an author may have specific requests pertaining to one story and this will be found on the beginning entry of that story. Please respect these wishes.

In general with the above stated requests commenting on each story is welcomed and open to all. Please follow the author’s requests about comments, but other than that it is wide open to what ever you feel like saying.

The community was founded with the idea of writing narratives, short stories, novels by chapter, character concepts, story concepts, or world concepts. The idea is to write something that anyone could read with enjoyment. There are a lot of communities for poetry so we would request that poetry not be placed here unless it is specific to one of the above ideas. These are our expectations of what people in this community will present. All of these writings are the authors own works. Please do not use these writings without the authors permission.

We reserve the right to delete any entries breaking these rules. Use your common sense and there won’t be any problems.
