This is an ADULT community. Please, no one under the age of 18 years need apply. Read and obey all of our rules(there's only a few). If you break them, you will be banned.
Our Purpose:
This community is for all the beauties on Live Journal. Beauty is NOT just skin-deep. It is a characteristic, a notion, a concept, an ART. That's why you young'uns aren't qualified to join. You are sliding through on lucky genes, the benefits of youth, and have no idea what real beauty is. We are interested in creativity, originality, natural beauty, good photography, inner beauty, effort, good make-up skills; in general - THE WHOLE ENCHILADA.
The Rules:
1. When posting your first entry, please write a short bio. You may include whatever information you want about yourself. Beauty is on the inside too and words can help convey this.
2. If you are posting more than one photo, please use an LJ cut. Photo quality does matter. Make sure they're not HUGE and also not TINY . Make sure pictures are clear enough to distinguish your features. Excessive contrast doesn't really do anyone justice.
3. If your post contains anything that you wouldn't want your mother seeing please have the subject line say NWS (not work safe) for those of us that are killing time on the job.
General Rules For Commenting :
It is very important to us that this place remain "nice" and that people's feelings don't get hurt unnecessarily. It's kind of sad that this needs to be pointed out, but apparently, tact does not come as easily to some as it does to others. So, in a nutshell...
1. Constructive criticism should not include phrases like "I hate it when..." or "that's ugly because..." etc. etc. Use words that show some tact. THIS IS NOT HARD TO DO. People have been telling you these things since you were three years old. "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all."
2. If you make fun of someone's significant other, child or anyone else in the picture , you will be banned. You will not receive a warning, and this is NOT negotiable. You will also be banned for racist, discriminatory, threatening or otherwise blatantly offensive remarks. If you get a warning from a mod, it will be recorded. After two, you're outta here.
