Welcome to vari_challenge...
In the spirit of many other challenge communities, I've decided I wanted one of my own, which will deal with various themes.. hence the name vari_challenge.
All are welcome here.. if you're not an icon maker yourself, don't worry! If you just like to look at other peoples work and vote, you're needed as much as the people who make the icons! So please, don't fear you need to be an icon maker to join! :)
This challenge community is going to deal with a variety of themes.. mostly it will be caps I post for you, which could be from one of the listed tv shows, or even a movie, but it could also just be a theme or a lyric or a quote for you to pick your own caps from the tv shows to use :)

if you have any questions at all, feel free to ask any of us :)
The Rules: (there aren't many, we're pretty laid back here)
-Must be no more than 100x100. Under 40k.
-In an lj supported format, that means gif, jpg, or png.
-Post your icon AND the url to the appropriate post, where they will be screened.
-When a cap is posted, feel free to manipulate it however you wish, but remember, use only the cap
-When a theme or lyric or quote is posted, feel free to use whatever you want from any of those listed tv shows, as long as it fits the first 3 rules :)
-Make sure your icon is hosted on a RELIABLE server. That means no geocities, tripod, or LJ. They don't allow hotlinking. Photobucket is a great one.
-You must be a member to enter the contests.
-Enter ONE icon only unless otherwise stated.
The Rules on voting:
-No "stuffing the ballot box", if this is found out, I won't be happy! ;)
-No voting for yourself! I think it's just tacky heh
-Most votes are done by poll, but sometimes it will be done by a top 3 in order of preference.
Affiliated Contest Communities:
if you are on Greatest Journal too.
