This is a Community devoted to Wally The Green Monster, without whom the Red Sox would have never been able to win the 2004 World Series. There is talk around Boston of the Red Sox trying to bring in new mascots next year. It is the express goal of this community to stop that from happenning and make sure that Wally remains THE Red Sox mascot. The only acceptable alternative, if the Sox insist on more mascots, is for the Sox to create, as those new mascots -- a FAMILY of Wally The Green Monsters!! Perhaps a mother monster and a baby monster to go along with Wally.
