Подскажите плиз кто был в Калабрии интересные места которые можно посетить вдвоем. Даже на тачке вариант отличный. Там вроде недалеко до Сицилии. Дык можно на пароме доплыть. Интересен ваш опыт. Буду признательна за любые комментарии.

I'm going to Italy from July 31-August 22. yay!
this well be my first visit. :]
I am doing a 13 day tour, through Contiki Europe, called Simply Italy with my cousin. has anyone done this or other Contiki tours before?
and then the remaining time I will be spending it with my family. <3
I can't wait!!!

I have got serious about going to Italy to advance my knowledge of Italian language and am looking for a language school there. Want to go for couple of weeks in summer. Maybe someone can advise something? Like, maybe you have been to a school and may give some recommendations or contacts?
I haven't chosen a city to go yet - maybe Rome, as it is a capital, maybe Perugia, as italians told me it has the best school for foreigners or Veneto, just because it must be so beautiful there.

Hey everyone, I just stumbled across this livejournal. I'm 20 years old, my parents are from a town called Grimaldi, its near Cosenza in Calabria. The last time I visited Italy was in 2004. I hope to go again this year :)

I've been to the meeting in Milano and it was nice.
Especially my guest family, la Famiglia Bazzi, was great!
Very nice people, very very guest friendly. The daughter gave us her room, so we didn't have to sleep in our sleeping bags somewhere in the living room or whereever.
On New Year's Day we had lunch at the neighbour's flat, which was really good. Pasta Al Forno from Sicily...yummie!
Anyone else been to the meeting??

I just came back from the National Italian American Foundations 30th Anniversary Gala this weekend in Washington DC. This was my fifth time there, both volunteering at the convention and attending the youth gala, and it was an amazing time! I met so many Italian Americans from all over the country, made a lot of contacts and networked (I graduate college in May and I need a job!), I met Tommy LaSorta and Tony Danza, and just had an amazing time!! If you guys have never heard of NIAF, I suggest you check it out: www.niaf.org, and reccommend becoming a member. They offer so many opportunities for those of us of Italian descent, and really keeps you connected to your roots.
I'll try and post some pictures later!
P.S. Does anyone know the name of the most recent Gigi D'Alessio song and the album it's from? They played it at the dinner dance and I LOVED it!
