Title: Whatever It Takes
Fandom: Jessica Jones
Characters/Pairing: Kilgrave/Jessica, Kilgrave/Trish
Rating: R
Warnings: Dubious consent, references to rape/noncon, mind control, violence including physical abuse, character death
Summary: After breaking free of Kilgrave, Trish vowed that she’d never let it happen again. She’d find a way to protect people. She’d find a way to protect herself.
Notes: A different take on Trish’s transformation into Hellcat.

“Believe what you want, but you saw us together. We’re in love.”

Her mouth pinched. “No, you’re not.”

“You think you know everything about me, don’t you? Me and Jessica. Well, let me tell you something. You don’t know Jessica half as well as you think you do, and you don’t know me either. I saw your bloodless little romance with the journalist. You used him as another rung on your career ladder and you didn’t feel a thing for him because you don’t feel. You’re cold and stuck-up and if you go running your prissy mouth off to Jessica about how I don’t care for her or some other bullshit, I will make you regret it.”

Title: Philosophical Zombies
Fandom: Detroit: Become Human
Characters/Pairing: Connor, Elijah Kamski, Chloe
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Dubious treatment of possibly sentient androids
Summary: Kamski runs some tests on the newly awakened Connor android.
Notes: Imagine a version of someone you know, but they don't have any conscious experiences (qualia). They're exactly the same in every other way, behave the same, respond the same, physically the same, but they don't actually experience the world. No thoughts, no feelings, no sensations. That's a philosophical zombie. The idea is to show that the mental is irreducible to the physical. So basically this fic is about that age-old question: can a robot be conscious?

“Look in that mirror. What do you see?”

A silver-framed mirror hung above the fireplace. Connor obeyed the command, standing up to examine itself with something like curiosity. It lifted a hand and smoothed back a stray lock of hair. “I see my reflection. So that’s what I look like.”

It knew, in some sense, what it looked like from the second it had woken up. That information was stored in its systems, enabling it to identify itself. But it had never seen its own face before.

Somehow that was different.

Title: Behind the Mirror
Fandom: Jessica Jones
Characters/Pairing: Kilgrave/Jessica, Luke
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Mind control, violence, torture, references to rape/noncon
Summary: You all know Jessica's story. Isn't it time you heard mine?
Or: Kilgrave keeps a journal while he's imprisoned in the Raft. In it, he recounts the history of his relationship with Jessica Jones and mulls over his time spent in captivity.
Notes: It's Kilgrave's POV. That's probably a warning in itself.

But that’s the thing about love, isn’t it? When you love someone, you love everything about them, even the parts you hate. Jessica had edges. She wasn’t soft, not on the outside. She was strong. She challenged me in a way that no one else could.

She was my opposite; she made me complete.
