Ok - so this scene has been bugging me ALL NIGHT. Seriously. I kinda want to turn it into something more, maybe, if the bunny will play nice... (There's carrots in it for ya!) See how it goes, but in the meantime - it's kind of an onion, this one. Read into it what you will. Tell me what you think.

“Don’t let go!”

Fear in his voice, panic, raw and biting.

Doesn’t he get it? Even now, after all this, how can he even need to ask me?

My shoulders burn, shaking with his weight, with the pressure that’s dragging him away, fingers cramping, locked around his wrist.

Sharp edges of the door-pillar my arm is wrapped around cut through flannel and skin, slick heat dripping the wrong way, caught in the false gravity of the hole in the world behind him.

“Dean.”

Behind it, save me, and I choke down the entirely inappropriate laugh bubbling up my throat.
