Hot Yin Class

Yin is the "meditative” yoga; unique in that you relax into a pose, soften the muscle and release closer to the bone and joints. Postures are held for sustained periods of time, allowing muscles to relax and the deep connective tissue to be gently stretched. Gain more flexibility in the joints, calm and balance the mind and body. This practice of “quiet power” encourages you to explore energetic principals, cultivate compassion and refine awareness. Perfect for the beginner to advanced yogi.

Dana Humphrey, RYT has been an avid yogi since 2001. In 2017 she started practicing regularly at HYRB and completed her 200 Hour Hot Yoga Level 1 TT with Jimmy Barkan in March of 2022 and Yin Certification from Kripalu in 2023. She teaches the Hot26 here on Tue & Thu and at a wellness center in Brooklyn to give back to the community. HYRB is lucky to have her as a teacher!

Onel Mulet, born in Miami of Cuban heritage, is a multi-instrumentalist (saxophone, flute, percussion), composer and producer whose career spans almost three decades. He’s performed at some of the most prestigious music festivals and concert venues across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. Di Salvador, RYT has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and teaching for almost 10. Over time, she’s been drawn to the depth and nuance of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2022 she completed Level One Meridian Therapy intensive training (with Dr. Erin Rose Vaughan) including hands-on study in acupressure massage, cupping techniques, moxa, and gua sha. Di is especially drawn to this form of medicine because it honors the quiet power of steady practice, deep breathing, rest and the ability to let go. HYRB is lucky to have her share this at the Studio.

Isabella Arikian, RYT (Bella), has found that healing takes place on her yoga mat. During a difficult time in her life, Bikram yoga allowed her to form a strong connection to herself by cultivating both emotional and bodily awareness. Having practiced yoga for over 10 years and ready to expand her knowledge, Bella received her 300hr 26+2 teaching certification at Ivy Standard Yoga Institute in 2021. Her motivation is to share that there is comfort in stillness, medicine in movement, love hiding in broad daylight, and that the beginners’ mentality is everything. Bella is committed to helping her students continue their journey home, one asana at a time. HYRB is thrilled she’s here!
