Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is finally out on consoles and PC, and everyone is scrambling to play its different game modes. Whether you're diving into multiplayer online matches or experiencing the main campaign, there's going to be a lot of action happening in Black Ops 7. What you do in the game contributes to the player level connected to your account, which can open up new weapons and equipment for loadouts as you level up across game modes. However, getting to max level can take time if you're just playing one mode, even when using multipliers before any gameplay. In order to maximize your experience in Black Ops 7 and keep up with the masses, you'll have to level up faster.

Luckily for everyone, you don't just gain experience towards the player level by just playing one game type. Gone are the days when you have to struggle through gauntlets of multiplayer matches just to get a high enough level for the weapons, equipment, and perks that you want. Your loadouts will be more interesting and useful when you push through to higher levels and unlock more options. Here are three ways to level up faster in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 that you'll want to start doing right away.

Finishing the campaign first

Getting it done yields rewards

Many players who love Call of Duty games are quick to dive into the multiplayer modes before anything else. They play the series for the excitement and craziness that happens in online multiplayer. But in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, skipping over the co-op campaign mode is just leaving rewards and easy experience on the table. Recent entries in the series have focused on shared progression for player levels, meaning you can play any mode and gain experience to level up and unlock more for your loadouts. This is very helpful for those who struggled in past games trying to reach higher levels for weapons that dominated multiplayer games or were very useful in Zombies mode.

What's even better about the campaign mode this time around is that you can complete it with other players in co-op. This will make things a little easier, and possibly faster, when completing the campaign. Finishing every mission will not only give you experience per mission, but will also contribute to any challenges for specific guns. Getting headshots on enemies or using specific weapons and equipment all count towards these challenges, opening up more camo skins and attachments for aiming weapons. By the time you complete the campaign, you can have a wide assortment of attachments and skins to equip in your loadouts, as well as more choices for killstreaks and equipment.

Just like anything else, all the experience you gain in the co-op campaign can be boosted by modifiers from the game lobby. If you have 2X tokens available, don't hesitate to use them. They aren't there for show, they're meant to boost you up in levels faster through any means. And if you're completing challenges during the campaign, that's even more experience for you!

Mode specific challenges

Getting even more XP daily

Online multiplayer matches always have daily challenges to complete that yield bonus experience. Sometimes they're tough and require a bit of finesse, but sometimes they're also very easy and quick to finish for a nice boost of experience. This is the same thing for other game modes, including co-op campaign and Zombies mode. You'll have various challenges that cover a wide range of weapons and tasks during gameplay, which are always a good thing to complete. In addition, if you manage to finish all three given challenges for the day, you'll gain an additional boost in experience for completing them all.

Where you can take advantage of this is by jumping between modes daily to complete any of the challenges that open up. If you find yourself finishing all the multiplayer challenges or getting through most of them, you can always switch over to Zombies and have a few fresh new challenges to complete. And if you've already finished the co-op campaign, you can still undertake challenges that are related to the Endgame mode that opens up after the final mission, opening up more chances to earn experience. Most tasks you complete will give around 2500 EXP for accomplishing them, with some giving more in rare instances.

If you manage to rotate through each game mode every day and complete only the easier challenges, you'll still manage to get a nice boost to your level each time, even without the completion bonus. This also gets better if you do so during a Double XP weekend, where you don't have to use 2X boosters to gain even more levels faster.

Zombie Survival is a grinder

Leveling up through weapon unlocks

Weapon challenges not only give you access to new attachments and camo skins, but they also give you a hefty amount of experience for your player level. Unfortunately, the better skins and larger XP bonuses require a lot of kills or headshots to complete. Normally, this can take a long time and require a bit of skill to accomplish within the multiplayer modes. But with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 having shared progression across each game mode, part of this struggle is alleviated. In order to take full advantage of this, the best mode to complete more challenges for your weapons is to go into the Zombies Survival mode.

The reason why this mode is the best option for doing this is because the focus of the mode is surviving waves of zombies without any distractions from the objectives in Zombies mode. It's also a great place to put lots of time into killing enemies a lot more often than any other game mode in Black Ops 7. The waves of zombies are always attacking you, so you'll constantly have something to shoot at. This means you'll have many more chances to get headshots and large numbers of kills with any weapon you use, contributing to their individual challenges. And every zombie you encounter and take down counts. With just one run of Zombies Survival, you can potentially have a number of weapon challenges completed for at least two or more weapons, and possibly more.

This also applies to the equipment you have in your loadouts, as well as anything you pick up during gameplay. If you're constantly using cluster grenades or any other lethal equipment to unlock their Overclock abilities, you can do so through Zombies mode. Not only are you leveling up your equipment, but gaining extra experience along the way too.

Pushing XP for higher levels

Leveling up in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will make more options for weapons, perks, equipment, and killstreaks available to use. This is why it's important to level up as quickly as possible if you plan on going into multiplayer and being competitive with others. Those with a better selection of options for their loadouts are going to have an edge over everyone else that is still struggling to reach higher player levels. By taking advantage of these ways to level up faster in Black Ops 7, you'll be hitting max level in less time and setting yourself up for success online.
