The reality is that building your own PC doesn't really save you a lot of money like it used to. Sure, it's fun being able to pick out all your parts, finding just the right case, and spending a few hours putting it all together. But if you're someone that's not looking to go through all of that and just wants something that works great out of the box, then a prebuilt PC is going to be the way to go.
But going prebuilt isn't as easy as it seems because there are so many different companies offering a variety of different options. Plus, you can dive even further into the deep end by customizing these PCs to your liking. So to keep things as simple as possible, I'd recommend just buying something off the shelf from a retailer like Best Buy.
You can't go wrong with this one
Now, this doesn't mean you just pick one up at random. You still want a PC that comes with great parts. Luckily, we have a pretty good recommendation if you're looking, with the Legion Tower 5 being a fairly solid build. The PC features a powerful AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, which was one of the best AMD processors for some time, delivering fantastic power and is ideal for gaming.
The CPU is paired with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. While this configuration is pretty good out of the box, there's still room to upgrade later if needed. That's probably going to be one of the most important parts of a gaming PC. If you can swap out parts, you'll be able to easily extend the life of the product when the default hardware gets a bit stale.
The real power is in the card
This particular model of the Legion Tower 5 comes equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card. It's a reliable card that can deliver excellent frame rates. You can always check out our review of the card to get detailed performance numbers, but for the most part, it can handle pretty much everything you can throw at it.
The price is what makes this attractive
The Legion Tower 5 is normally priced at $1,880 at Best Buy for this configuration. It's a pretty decent price for this PC, but being able to get it for cheaper is what makes it more alluring right now. For a limited time, you can score $480 off, which brings it down to $1,400.
It's not the cheapest gaming PC on the market, but we think that at this price, it's a good deal. If this sounds like something you're looking for, we recommend grabbing it while you can. The discounts aren't really running all that long, so there's no telling when this sale will end.
