360/PS3 price drops? And more Smash talk

For those of you wanting to buy a 360 (well, this is to one person), this might be of interest to you: "Asked if the company was assuming any hardware price drops for the year, CFO David Carlson (of Gamestop) said the company had "assumed a couple," including a $30 price cut for the PS2. Carlson added that the company is making the assumption that both the Xbox 360 and PS3 will have a $50 price cut some time in the year, but stressed that it had no direct knowledge".
No official word on when this will happen, of course, but it's worth looking into if you're interested in picking up either of these systems.

If anyone's thinking about picking up the Wii...it's STILL going to be hard to find. Geez...for as much as people complain about the Wii, they sure are buying them by the truckloads. O.o

And apparently they're making an Ender's Game game? No details yet, but imop it'll probably be either a 360 game or a 360/PS3. I know for me I'd rather see a movie. I like Ender's Game a lot, but I don't know if I'd want to play a videogame of it...

I played a little more Smash today and finally beat the part I was stuck in in adventure mode. Turns out I had the right idea to jump across the moving platforms (though if you stay on one too long it'll kill you), but I kept missing the last platform to jump to because I didn't see it. Once I spotted it and found out where it was I had no problems with the level.

The boss was probably one of the cooler ones I faced.

Ridley comes to us from Metroid Prime. Having never played a Metroid game I wasn't very familiar with him at all, and I'm still not. Ridley is basically a sort of dragon. He plays out a lot like the master hand, which makes finding a strategy to beat him pretty easy. The majority of his attacks are airborne attacks where he dives down at you. They can be easily avoided by jumping into the air.

So Ridley is easy....until you meet Meta Ridley.

Meta Ridley is similar to Ridley, except he's a lot tougher, and the game only gives you a minute and thirty seconds to beat him instead of the five minutes you got with Ridley. You're also fighting him on top of a moving vehicle, which makes it all the more harder. There isn't as much space and Meta Ridley will jump on the back of it, making you fly up into the air. It's fun. X_X

Even so, Ridley and Meta Ridley are two of the more fun bosses I've run into. I still think my favorite Nintendo boss was the knights you faced off in Twilight Princess, but Ridley gives you a run for your money.

And now I've grounded myself from playing any more Smash so I can do my homework. X_X
Seeya later.
