(a) 
The International Building Code, 2015 edition, as published by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted as if fully set out in this section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes prescribed in Section 3.102, on file with the office of the city secretary, as the building code of the city for regulating and governing the construction, maintenance, and alteration of all property, buildings and structures by providing the standards to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use; and the issuance of permits and collection of fees.
(b) 
Any reference throughout this code to “building code” or “building codes” shall be deemed to reference all applicable codes adopted under this chapter and the fire code adopted by the city.
(c) 
The board of appeals shall be the city council for all codes adopted by this chapter.

Section 101.1. Insert: City of Prairie View.
Section 103. Including all subsections, is deleted in its entirety.

Section 3410.2. Insert: April 1, 2017, effective date of building codes.
