ARTICLE 3.200 RESIDENTIAL CODE

The International Residential Code, 2015 edition, including appendix chapters M, N, O, and P, as published by the International Code Council, is hereby adopted as if fully set out in this section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes prescribed in Section 3.202, as the residential code of the city for regulating and governing the construction, alteration, movement, enlargement, replacement, repair, equipment location, removal and demolition of detached single- and two-family dwellings and multiple single-family dwellings (townhouses) not more than three stories in height with separate means of egress as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said residential code on file in the office of the city secretary.

The following sections of the code adopted in Section 3.201 are hereby amended as follows:

Section R101.1. Insert: City of Prairie View.

Section R103.1. Is deleted in its entirety.

Section R104.8. Is deleted in its entirety.

Section R112.3. Is deleted in its entirety.

Table R301.2(1). Insert the following as a single chart:

Section P2603.5.1. Insert: six inches (6").

Section P2603.5.1. Insert: eighteen inches (18").

Chapter 11 is amended to refer to the requirements of the International Energy Conservation Code adopted in Section 3.301 and amended in Section 3.302.

Section 112, board of appeals, is hereby deleted in its entirety, including all subsections, and replaced with the following:

Appeals shall be in accordance with the procedure in the building code adopted in Article 3.100.
