The DSN 3 or Kirameki 3 satellite is a X-band communications satellite built and operated by DSN Corporation for the Japanese Ministry of Defense.

DSN Corporation, a joint venture established by SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation, NEC Corporation and NTT Communications Corporation, has been founded to conduct a program to upgrade and operate Japan’s next X-band satellite communications system.

The satellite is believed to be similar to DSN 3 (Kirameki 3) and was likely also built by the same contractors.
