Haven-Demo [VAST]

Haven-Demo is a technology demonstration satellite deveveloped by VAST for component tests of their planned commercial space station Haven 1.

The Haven-Demo spacecraft will fly subsystems and components that Vast plans to use for Haven-1 to increase their flight heritage and further reduce technical and operational risk ahead of the Haven-1 launch. The Haven-Demo spacecraft will host a radiofrequency communications system; guidance, navigation, and control hardware and algorithms; solar array and power systems; and a propulsion system representative of what Vast intends to use with Haven-1.

Haven-Demo was planned for an early 2025 launch on the Bandwagon-3 mission on a Falcon-9 v1.2 (Block 5), but was delayed to 2 Novemer 2025.

The satellite was actively deorbited on 5 February 2026 after the completion of all tests.
