Interkosmos 17 [Yuzhnoye]
Intercosmos 17 was a Soviet technology satellite launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome aboard a Kosmos-3M rocket. Its purpose was to investigate energetic charged and neutral particles and micrometeorite fluxes in circumterrestrial space. It completed operations on 16 January 1979.
